I believe in God. I also believe God. “Discernment is not simply a matter of telling the difference between what is right and wrong; rather it is the difference between right and almost right.” -Charles Spurgeon. Scripture is my authority for all things regarding to life and godliness. 2 Cor.10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ

Flaunting "Liberties" For All the World To See: that's not loving the Brethren
Mature Christians need to consider the weaker brothers even when posting photos or twittering what we are doing.
"I believe that one reason why the church at this present moment has so little influence over the world, is because the world has so much influence over the church! Nowadays, we hear professors pleading that they may do this, and do that--that they may live like worldlings. My sad answer to them, when they crave this liberty is, "Do it if you dare. It may not cost you much hurt, for you are so bad already. Your cravings show how rotten your hearts are. If you are hungering after such dogs food--go dogs, and eat the garbage!" – Spurgeon
"The substitutionary sacrifice of our blessed Lord and Savior is lightly esteemed, and even repudiated, by some prominent teachers; the future destiny of the sinner has become, in consequence, a vain speculation in the thoughts of many. The plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, the personality of the Holy Ghost, and his presence and power in the church of God, with other verities of the faith of Christ, are qualified or explained away in many instances. The results of this erroneous teaching and perversion of the gospel are painfully apparent; worldliness, sensuality, and luxury, with the desecration of the Lord's day, abound, and Christian liberty has become license in the walk and conversation of many professed disciples of Christ."
- Spurgeon

Anonymous attacks won't be tolerated here. If you want to disagree with me, then have the courtesy to be respectful and mature. Reasonable disagreements are often allowed, but please identify yourself. This isn't the place for cowards. And no, this isn't a democracy. =)
For the rest of you who visit and show courtesy and respect, thank you so much. =)
Ya - I had a friend on Facebook - a Christian talking about beer cans littering the front lawn and what they were drinking ... this is not helping!
ReplyDeleteIn Galatians it says to not use your freedom for license!
