Now that Ergun Caner is getting the main heat from people, John Piper, Rick Warren, and their defenders can breathe a little easier now. Bet they're glad for the distraction.
But discernment ministries aren't easily distracted. More importantly, God is never distracted.

Anonymous attacks won't be tolerated here. If you want to disagree with me, then have the courtesy to be respectful and mature. Reasonable disagreements are often allowed, but please identify yourself. This isn't the place for cowards. And no, this isn't a democracy. =)

Sounds like a blind follower defending his Magisterium (I haven't even listened to it yet, but the title says it all).
ReplyDeleteFor such people, there is no such thing as a false teacher or wolf among them! After all, they think a heretic will announce himself so they will know (ask them how they would know, you won't get much of an answer)! If they claim Jesus, hey, he's a brother (well, except if you diss their favorite guy, then you don't get that same love and tolerance they pour onto a false teacher or false shepherd). The hypocrisy reeks. Its the sin of favoritism James 2 talks about.
Btw,to assign "hate" to bloggers like us is pretty desparate. Where's Phil's LOVE for the countless souls who have been lied to by Tricky Warren and now Piper? Where's Phil's love for the TRUTH in Scripture? Why has he lowered God's standard and then turn around and slam us who strive to hold it high as Scripture says?
One thing I've learned is that biblical doctrine is optional for just about everyone but a few solid biblical Christians.
So they rather defends a man in gross error and a man who's a false teacher, and slam Christians, than be true to Scripture and Christ and encourage those fighting for the Truth of Scripture.
Terrie, it reveals far more about such men than it does people like Warren.
He seems pretty man-centered from what I can tell on his website.

How hypocritical, since that's exactly what Tricky Ricky is. Yet HE can call a man a wolf and its ok, but heaven forbid talking on *his* favorite guy! What a hypocrit. I wouldn't give this guy any more time Terrie. He links to the slanderous "PhoenixPreacher" too, which says a LOT.
