Lysa Ter Keurst

Until such time, I regret that I must recommend that women not follow Lysa TerKeurst or Proverbs 31 Ministries (including the other women who write for and are leaders in this ministry) for the following reasons:
1. Lysa unrepentantly preaches to and instructs men in violation of 1 Timothy 2:12-14 (as well as the many other passages of Scripture that do not allow this). Without exception, every female Bible teacher I know of who unrepentantly instructs men also teaches other doctrinal error (usually Word of Faith or seeker driven false doctrine).
If a woman is supposedly knowledgeable enough about the Bible to be in the position of teaching and authoring, yet doesn’t understand or obey such a basic biblical truth, what does that say about the rest of her knowledge of the Bible? How can you trust that anything else she teaches you about the Bible is accurate and true?

End quote.
Michelle Lesley's other concerns include that Lysa Ter Keurst  is a member of false teacher Steve Furtick's church and that she preaches from the pulpit on Sundays repeatedly, is close friends with false teacher (Word of Faith) and former pastor of Hillsong, Christine Caine. These are sufficient enough to reject Lysa Ter Keurst. I wholly agree that if a woman who by position and job claims to be an expert in the Word, yet denies it's doctrine on women not teaching men and not even greeting (much less becoming friends with and promoting) false teachers, she is not to be listened to at all. She is to be rejected.
1Tim. 2: 11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 1Tim2: 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15 But women will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.

1Cor. 14: 33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints, 34 women should remain silent in the churchesThey are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. 36 Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37 If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. 38 If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored.
I deal with this issue in this article here.

Right Thinking - Psalm 119

Psa 119:53  Hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked, who forsake your law.
Psa 119:54  Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning.

The heart of this writer is so in tune with God and His living Word, that he loves what God loves and hates what God hates.

Psa 139:18  If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.
Psa 139:19  Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God! O men of blood, depart from me!
Psa 139:20  They speak against you with malicious intent; your enemies take your name in vain.
Psa 139:21  Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD? And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?
Psa 139:22  I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies.

Jas 1:20  for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Eph 4:26  Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

Righteous anger comes from a heart that is righteous and full of agape love for God and His Word. It is already seeking obedience to it. It is a heart that is fully teachable to the Word and treasures it above all else. It is not an academic pursuit, but a love pursuit. It sees the underlying issues of the wicked which are not social injustices ultimately, but insolence and unbelief to God's laws, rules, commands, statutes, and precepts.  What offends God, offends him. That which the wicked scorn, the very thing the writer values and loves above all else, offends him to the point of HOT indignation.

This is no lukewarm reaction to the wicked's insolence. This is not a "fair and balanced" approach or feeling. This is wholly one-sided, consumption of what is true and against what is false.

Please Friends Or Please God?

“If we are content to offend God rather than displease our friends or relatives, then we are greatly deceived if we regard ourselves as genuine Christians.”

So, How Could Noah and His Family Care for the Many Animals on Board the Ark?

Detractors from the Bible story of the Flood have scoffed at the idea of just a few people carrying out all the duties of animal care for a year. Without a doubt, it would have been a daunting task considering the number of animals and the frightening circumstances, but would it have been impossible?

~Dr. John Morris, ICR

Go here for the answers he gives in the article.

So, How Could All the Animals Get On Board Noah's Ark? Impossible?

Not long ago I was interviewed on a "news-talk" radio show. The host was a particularly venomous anti-Christian, with a long history of ridiculing Christianity on his show. Evidently he particularly likes to ridicule creationism.
His introductory comment was, "You're one of those idiots who believes the earth is only six-thousand years old. Tell me one thing. How did Noah get all those millions of dinosaurs onboard Noah's Ark?"

Nothing But The Truth

The truth of Scripture is something precious that must be carefully handled and closely guarded (1 Timothy 6:20). Once again, a proper understanding of Scripture involves conscientious and diligent study. Second Timothy 2:15 says, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” By implication we see that all who do not divide the Scriptures right are sloppy workers who ought to be ashamed. In other words, no one has the right to be a theologian who is not first a careful exegete.
The truth is everything to a Christian. That is why we are called to refute error, defend the truth, and proclaim Scripture as the supreme truth against every lie propagated by the world.
I fear that the church in this post-modern era has lost focus on that fact. It is no longer deemed necessary to fight for the truth. In fact, many evangelicals now consider it ill-mannered and uncharitable to argue about any point of doctrine. Even gross error is now tolerable in some quarters for the sake of peace. Rather than rightly dividing the word and proclaiming it as truth, many churches now feature motivational lectures, drama, comedy, and other forms of entertainment — while utterly ignoring the great doctrines of the faith. Even people who attack the truth in pseudo-scholarly ways are finding publishers in the evangelical realm and being honored as if they had deep insight.
We must recover our love for biblical truth, as well as our conviction that it is unassailable truth. We have the truth in a world where most people are simply wandering around in hopeless ignorance. We need to proclaim it from the housetops, and quit playing along with those who suggest we are being arrogant if we claim to know anything for certain. We do have the truth, not because we are smarter or better than anyone else, but because God has revealed it in the Scriptures and has been gracious to open our eyes to see it. We would be sinning if we tried to keep the truth to ourselves.
~ John MacArthur, "Nothing But The Truth"

Dialogue Leads To Error and Error Provides No Insight To The Truth

Listen; let me tell you something very simple, truth gains nothing from dialogue with error. That is pointless. And in the Evangelical world today the climate is, "Let's dialogue. Let's sit down with Muslims and let's sit down with the Roman Catholics, and let's sit down with Orthodox Jewish people, and let's sit down with these other people and we'll grown in the dialogue." You know what happens in dialogue? Nothing good. You wanna be patient with people; you wanna be loving and gracious. I don't need the Islamic view of anything to interpret the Bible. Do you understand that? I don't need the Mormon view of anything to interpret the Bible. That's not a necessary element. Error provides no insight to truth. Error is not a hermeneutic. I don't interpret the Bible better because now I'm a buddy with a Muslim. I wanna be a friend to a Muslim. I wanna be a loving friend to one because I wanna lead him to the truth - that nothing in his religion makes any contribution to my understanding of Scripture. The only thing that happens in those dialogues is compromise. And the end result always seems to be the same - the diminishing of conviction about truth.

~MacArthur "The Battle For Truth, Part 1"

Attacking Any Doctrine Is Attacking the Bible

To attack any doctrine in the Bible is to attack the Bible. To attack the heart and soul of the Bible, the character of God, the deity of God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Gospel, is to hit the truth at its heart. Every assault on biblical truth is an attack on the Word of God.

~MacArthur, "The Battle for Truth, Part 1"

This happens within "Christianity", not just outside of it.

Jud 1:4  For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

2Pe 2:1  But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
2Pe 2:2  And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.

2Pe 3:5  For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,
2Pe 3:6  and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.
2Pe 3:7  But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

On Human Language and Evolution: its either all or nothing

If humans evolved through a piece-by-piece accretion of parts, then so did their ability to talk. Although talking seems simple, it actually depends on so many perfectly placed characteristics--both material and immaterial--that language must be a gift from God.
Charles Darwin proposed that human language evolved through nature selecting the best grunters from a crowd of ape-like ancestors. For support, Darwin cited people he had observed in Tierra del Fuego. He described the Fuegians as savages and "primitive beasts," whose Yahgan language had a mere 100 or so words and sounded like animal grunts and clicks.1
However, when 19th-century missionary Thomas Bridges reached out to Fuegians with the gospel, he recorded over 32,000 words and inflections in his Yahgan-English dictionary.2Thus, Darwin was wrong about their language, and wrong about Fuegians being subhuman. Was his story of the evolution of language wrong, too?.....

End quote.

Christians: You MUST be imitators of God

These are commands, not suggestions. God doesn't lower the standard because He knows "we're not perfect". It's actually implied in the command that we already are imperfect (let's call it what it is: sinful) and therefore are commanded to stop sinning and be imitators of God:
Eph 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
Mat 5:48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
1Pe 1:15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
1Pe 1:16 since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."
3Jn 1:11 Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.

Eph 4:21  assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,
Eph 4:22  to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,
Eph 4:23  and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
Eph 4:24  and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

Eph 1:19  and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might
Eph 1:20  that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,
Eph 1:21  far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

Php 2:12  Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling
Php 2:13  for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

God Is Supreme, Faithful, and True, Therefore His Word is Supreme, Faithful and True

God is supreme- He is Creator and all powerful. This is made known by His handiwork of creation & all know it:
Psa 19:1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Psa 19:2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
Psa 19:3 There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.
Psa 19:4 Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

Rom 1:19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
Rom 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Because God is supreme and all powerful, so is His Word:

Psa 19:6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
Psa 19:8 the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;
His Word is living b/c He is living; His Word is faithful and true because it's Author is faithful and true:
Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
Rev 1:16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.
Rev 1:18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Heb 4:13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Rev 3:7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: 'The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.
Rev 3:14 "And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: 'The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation.
Rev 19:9 And the angel said to me, "Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb." And he said to me, "These are the true words of God."
Rev 19:11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
Rev 19:13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.
Rev 19:15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
Rev 19:16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.
Rev 21:5 And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
Rev 22:6 And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place."

Psa 19:7  The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;

"Sure": certain, reliable, solid, firm, trustworthy. NOT false, a myth, or speculation.

The testimony of God in Creation and in the Word (all it's teaching and instruction) is certain and is knowable. It gives wisdom to the simple. This begins with Gen. 1:1. The foremost description of God is that He is Creator and therefore is to be feared and obeyed. Just as in Ps 19:1-6 begins with God's glory as Creator, so does Gen. 1:1. Explicit and sure--CERTAIN & TRUE--testimony of the Divine Creator.

To deny the SURE testimony of God as Divine Creator who personally created all things in six literal days (Ps 8 & 33), is to remain simple (foolish) since Truth is only revealed in Scripture, particularly about God's character and power and eternality, starting in Gen. 1:1.

The testimony of God as the omnipotent Creator Is:

sure
right
pure

and it enlightens the eyes.

To deny the sure testimony God gives about Himself is to deny therefore those truths and His character. It means one remains blind and in darkness:

Eph 4:17  Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.
Eph 4:18  They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
Eph 4:19  They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.
Eph 4:20  But that is not the way you learned Christ!
Eph 4:21  assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,

Truth is knowable. We are not groaping around in the dark if we are truly in Christ. God has revealed Himself and moreover, enlightened the eyes of those He regenerates. But all people KNOW God exists and is Creator as Rom. 1 explicitly states.

Wisdom, Discernment, and Understanding

Hos 14:9  Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the LORD are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.

Jas 3:13  Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.

Pro 17:24  The discerning sets his face toward wisdom, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.

Col 2:2  that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ,
Col 2:3  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

1Co 2:12  Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.
1Co 2:13  And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.
1Co 2:14  The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Psa 1:1  Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
Psa 1:2  but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
Psa 1:3  He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
Psa 1:4  The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Psa 1:5  Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
Psa 1:6  for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Sin Is Sin? You're Disgust With Planned Parenthood Doesn't Show That Claim of Your's

Funny how suddenly sin isn't all equal. Abortion and sexual immorality is acceptable, even expected sin, but harvesting the organs of the aborted babies as Planned Parenthood has done, well now THAT'S WORSE. Really?

It's hard to take seriously those "conservatives" who suddenly are outraged over Planned Parenthood's wickedness, when they voted for pro-abortion Republicans as "the lesser evil" --as in the pro-circumstantial abortion view: "well less abortions is better than more abortions" and "we can't demand a rape victim carry out her baby to full term, that's not fair to her" claims.

Murder and Sin Merely "Bad Behavior"

National Security Adviser Susan Rice said “we should expect” that some of the money Iran gets under sanctions relief as a result of the nuclear deal “would go to the Iranian military and could potentially be used for the kinds of bad behavior that we have seen in the region” on Wednesday’s “Situation Room” on CNN.

~Breitbart

Bad behavior? Slaughtering thousands, threatening Israel, terrorizing other countries is merely "bad behavior"? Even Mark Levin, not a Christian, understands this is utterly insane as he drove this home yesterday on his radio show.

Softening sin is very much part of the world AND "Christianity" today. "Christians" do it all the time, too. They redefine sin as "bad behavior" or "mistakes" or "moral shortcomings", instead of calling it what it is: sin.

Dark Days In "Christtianity" Today

You know we're in a very very dark place in "Christianity" when you have to actually explain why sodomy is wrong.

God strongly opposes sodomy throughout the ages:

- In the patriarchs (Genesis 19:1-28)

- In the Law of Moses (
Leviticus 18:2220:13)

- In the Prophets (
Ezekiel 16:46-50)

- In the New Testament (
Romans 1:18-271 Corinthians 6:9-10Jude 7-8)

1Ti 1:9  understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers,
1Ti 1:10  the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,

Jud 1:7  just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

Cherry Picking Data

Picking cherries sounds like good, clean fun, but it isn’t always a good thing. In origins science the practice of “cherry picking” refers to an analytical fallacy—using a few selected illustrations to demonstrate a point, as if those examples fairly exemplify a generalized trend when they actually don’t...
Do you remember hearing or reading that supposedly 98% of the human genome matches that of chimpanzees, due to humans and chimpanzees allegedly sharing common ancestors?
Those cherry-picked genome comparison reports suppressed huge categories of contrary evidence. As ICR’s Dr. Jeffrey Tomkins has reported, “All analyzed cases of reported high human-chimp DNA sequence similarity are based on biased data selection and exclusion techniques.”4 Using “highly selective data-discarding techniques,”4 such “statistical” results failed to account for major disparities between the respective genomes.
For the primary chimp chromosomes (autosomes), the amount of optimally aligned DNA sequence provided similarities between 66 and 76 percent, depending on the chromosome. In general, the smaller and more gene-dense chromosomes showed higher DNA sequence similarity—although there were several notable exceptions. Only 69 percent of the chimpanzee X chromosome (female sex chromosome) and only 43 percent of the Y chromosome was similar to human DNA. Genome-wide, only 70 percent of the chimpanzee genome assembly was similar to human DNA under the most optimal sequence-slice conditions.5
Not even close to the evolutionists’ trumpeted 98%! That’s because cherry-picked analyses are unreliable misrepresentations of the true facts—in this case, the real truth is that man was uniquely created in God’s image and is not just a chimpanzee’s cousin.

Who Are The Ungodly?

"The ungodly are not so--but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous." Psalm 1:4-5

The ungodly--who are they?

I know full well who are uppermost in your minds. I no sooner mentioned the text, and spoke about the doom of the ungodly, than you began to think of the vile and the brutalized characters whose deeds of cruelty make up that shameful list of 'crimes of violence' now appearing in our papers day by day. And side by side with them, you doubtless thought of the drunkard, pouring down his throat the liquid fire to better qualify himself for the devil's work! And you thought of brazen-faced harlotry and open immorality and of those who are steeped to the lips in sin--and of those who live, as they say, 'for time--and let eternity look after itself'. These are the characters you pictured when we read the word 'ungodly'. Well, you are right, they are ungodly.

But I am certain that all I have mentioned fail to compose one-tenth part of those who are legitimately to be included in the catalogue of the ungodly. Remember this: that a man may be ungodly, without being any of the characters that I have mentioned! An ungodly man is simply a man who tries to get through the world without God. It is not necessary for a man's life to be a shame and a disgrace, for him to be ungodly. It is not necessary for him to be steeped in all sorts of vice, in order to be without God.

I will go further, and venture to assert that a man may be most moral--and yet most ungodly. While vile immorality has slain its thousands; a godless morality has slain its tens of thousands! And for one that is dragged down to perdition by the mill-stone of vice--there are hundreds who are taken in the meshes of the net of Christless virtue. A man may be honest in all his transactions, pure in his language, chaste in his thoughts, an honorable man in all his business dealings--just the very one you would like to trade with--his word may be his bond, and all his actions fair--and yet come under the designation of the ungodly. It is with him, simply morality, skin deep; there has been nothing of regeneration within, without which it is impossible for a man to enter into the kingdom.

Look into his character, and you will find that he is ungodly in every part of his life. Inspect all his motives, and you will find that he never does a thing for God's sake. There is no fear of God before his eyes; there is no reverence for God within his heart. He may be gentle, amiable, moral--a good sort of man as far as this world's goodness is concerned. He would be all right, if a man could be all right without God--but he belongs to the ungodly

We will go one step further, and say that a man may be most religious--and yet be most ungodly. I can conceive of a man being a most talented preacher--and yet being ungodly. It may be that he has a natural liking and gift for speaking; and he may, perhaps, take a very great deal of interest in the increase of his denomination and the outward mechanism of his church--but for all that he is totally devoid of the life of God within his soul.

Oh, pass the question around, I beg you--you who have made profession of the Lord Jesus Christ for years. Have you got something more than the mere name to live? Are you yet--(oh, can it be?)--ungodly, though a professing Christian--ungodly though once immersed in the name of Christ--ungodly, though your life is almost a pattern for the very best of Christians? The question is, have you God or not? For my text is not about the immoral, the profane, or the criminal--but about those who, whatever else they have, possess not God.

"The ungodly are not so--but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous." Psalm 1:4-5

There has been too much trifling with Jehovah!

"Then I answered and said: Amen, O Lord!" Jeremiah 11:5 [Or, So be it, O Lord.]

Perhaps there is a secret contention going on between you and God. God has spoken to you--but thus far there has not been Jeremiah's response of 'Amen, O Lord.'

Here you have the one response which a man of God must ever make to the words of God. When God says anything to him, there is nothing left for him but to bow the head and say, 'Amen, O Lord--so be it!'

This response is the only one that suits a creature's lip.

When God
speaks--there is nothing left for man but to hear.
When God decrees--there is nothing for man to do but acquiesce
When Jehovah gives a command--what is there left for His creature to do but obey

Any other word than 'Amen' springs from rebellion. Any other response to the word of Jehovah, simply tells of a heart that wars with God.

It is not for men to judge God's words, far less to amend them. If it pleases Jehovah to say anything, no matter how stern, how dreadful, or how searching--there is only one position for man: that is to bow his head and say, 'Amen, O Lord.'
'Oh,' says one, in the proud spirit of our times, 'you are making a bold bid for your God this morning.'
I am. The sovereignty of God needs to be brought to the front.
There has been too much trifling with Jehovah! Man needs to have the peacock's feathers plucked out of his cap, and be taught that he is a poor little nothing, and that for God to speak to him at all is infinite condescension, and that for him to say anything else than 'Amen' is boundless impudence!

If God condescends to utter a command, am I to go and judge whether the Lord has a right to say it? Shall I take the word of Jehovah my Maker and weigh it in my scales--and bring up his thoughts to the paltry bar of my fallen reason--and enter my protest unless I can see a good reason for God speaking as He does?

When God promulgates a decree, He does not send it to man to be revised.
His claim is this, "I am Jehovah. I, the Lord, speak that which is right, and let man say: Amen, O Lord.

We are living in the days of the deification of humanity. We hear so much about 'the glory of humanity', and 'the triumphs of humanity'--that God has become little better than a very inferior deity who runs after man and tips His cap to him.

This is not the picture which God's Book gives. God's claim is this, "I am the Lord, and you are but the creatures of My hand. The brightest of My angels are but sparks struck off from the anvil of My creative omnipotence. When I speak, let men and angels be silent; or, if they must speak, let them say: Amen, O Lord!" This is the only the response that suits a creature's lip.
If you can conceive of a being who is . . .
  infinitely wise,
  all-powerful,
  infinitely righteous,
  absolutely holy,
  inflexibly just,
and all gathered up into boundless love--that is God.

If such a One speaks--then what is there left for me but to say, 'Amen'? I am stark, raving mad, if I dare question the utterance of Infinite Wisdom. I am unutterably vile, if I can dare to criticize the utterance of Absolute Love. Idiocy must have taken hold of my brain and, alas! of my heart, if I would amend anything which His infinite holiness has declared. The very nature and character of God declare that the only response for man when God speaks, is 'Amen, O Lord.'

Oh, for that grand attitude of resignation and submission to God, that bows before every word of God--whether it be a silver note of mercy from Heaven, or a thunder-clap of denunciation!

(Archibald Brown, "Amen, O Lord!" 1894)

Freedom, Nationality, and Holiness

1Pe 2:9  But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
1Pe 2:10  Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
1Pe 2:11  Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.
1Pe 2:12  Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
1Pe 2:13  Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme,
1Pe 2:14  or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good.
1Pe 2:15  For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.
1Pe 2:16  Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.
1Pe 2:17  Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

Christians And Sodomy

In order to believe people are born sodomites (or as "Christians" like to sanitize it, born "leaning that way"), one must hold to psychology which is doctrines of demons. Why? Because only psychology has claimed---and cannot nor ever will be able to to prove--that there's a "gay gene". No true science has ever found such a thing. They never will, based on Romans 1. And by the way, if you believe this doctrine of demons is true, then you must also accept psychology's "science" of finding a "God Gene" too. To give in to the FUTILE and dark, hostile thinking of the world and slap it onto Christians is to wage war with God. Eph. 4 is extremely clear: unbelievers and the world's thinking has no benefit nor truth, therefore it cannot help Christians deal with their sin nor help in proclaiming the Gospel.

Malcolm X: When Blacks Voted 80% Democrat

Malcolm X: When Blacks Voted 80% Democrat
What would Malcolm X would say now that democrats get 95% of the black vote? For this loyalty, here's what the democrats have done to blacks:
--The welfare state has caused families to implode.
--The equity/worth for blacks has cratered in the wake of the sub-prime crisis that resulted from wrongheaded policies designed to help so-called "underrepresented" borrowers.
--Government schools have dumbed down students and curricula-- while refusing to give parents school choice.
--Porous borders and lax enforcement allow illegal workers to threaten jobs and incomes.
--Heavy taxation/fines/fees/traffic tickets are exacted from residents to pay for a burdensome bureaucracy and excessive pensions.
--Social security is a rip-off for blacks who die earlier than whites, and therefore get a dismal return on their "investment." But reform, let alone private accounts as in Chile, New Zealand and England, is off-limits.
--Race-based admission standards cause a school mis-match of black and brown students--resulting in higher drop-out rates than would have occurred had the student attended a school commensurate with his/her credentials. And the student drop-outs leave mired in debt.
--The left/media/"activists" have so demonized--and demoralized-- the police that crime has gone up. Cops have grown passive for fear they'll be accuse of "police brutality." The victims of this passivity will be urban residents.
And we're debating the Confederate Flag?!?

What would Malcolm say?

Christians Cannot Go to the World of Unbelievers for Truth

Eph 4:17  Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.
Eph 4:18  They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
Eph 4:19  They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.
Eph 4:20  But that is not the way you learned Christ!
Eph 4:21  assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,

On Eph. 4:17-21- this is why Christians cannot go to the world for truth. There is no such thing as "truth in everything". Truth is alone in  Christ Jesus, the Author of Truth. In light of recent events, this needs to be understood and believed by true Christians (we are separate from the world & it's philosophies and ways of life).

Gentiles. All ungodly, unregenerate pagans (cf. 1 Thess. 4:5, which defines them). the futility of their minds. First, unbelievers are intellectually unproductive. As far as spiritual and moral issues are concerned, their rational processes are distorted and inadequate, inevitably failing to produce godly understanding or moral living. Their life is empty, vain, and without meaning (cf. Rom. 1:21–28; 1 Cor. 2:14; Col. 2:18).
Eph. 4:18 alienated from the life of God. Second, unbelievers are spiritually separated from God, thus ignorant of God's truth (1 Cor. 2:14), and their willing spiritual darkness and moral blindness is the result (cf. Rom. 1:21–24; 2 Tim. 3:7). They are blind, or "hard" like a rock.
Eph. 4:19 have become callous. Third, unbelievers are morally insensitive. As they continue to sin and turn away from God, they become still more apathetic about moral and spiritual things (cf. Rom. 1:32). sensuality... impurity. Fourth, unbelievers are behaviorally depraved (cf. Rom. 1:28). As they willingly keep succumbing to sensuality and licentiousness, they increasingly lose moral restraint, especially in the area of sexual sins. Impurity is inseparable from greediness, which is a form of idolatry (Eph. 5:5; Col. 3:5). That some souls may not reach the extremes of Eph. 4:17–19 is due only to God's common grace and the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit.
Eph. 4:20–21 learned... heard... taught. Three figurative descriptions of salvation, the new birth.
Eph. 4:21 as the truth is in Jesus. The truth about salvation leads to the fullness of truth about God, man, creation, history, life, purpose, relationships, heaven, hell, judgment, and everything else that is truly important. John summed this up in 1 John 5:20.
~John MacArthur on Eph. 4

God’s Word is living and active (Heb. 4) – it measures the thoughts and motives, it reveals sin, it exhorts, it gives light and life because it is literally from God’s mouth.
So Truth is in Christ and from Christ and teaches us who He is, how to be saved, and how to live as Christians. Godliness necessarily means separation from the world.
The world cannot help us grow in Christ and in true knowledge and wisdom, which is ONLY from the God of Truth (HE tells us what reality is). Evolution and psychology are futile, hostile, dark, ignorant, alienated from God, and of calloused hard hearts. To adopt these views in anyway is sinful and adulterous.

Jas 4:4  You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Jas 3:13  Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
Jas 3:14  But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.
Jas 3:15  This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
Jas 3:16  For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.
Jas 3:17  But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
Jas 3:18  And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Joh 3:30  He must increase, but I must decrease."

Rom 12:2  Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Rom 12:3  For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned

No H8ers Hate Professing Christians And All Who Reject Sodomy Unions

The Oregon official imposed a gag order on the couple, mandating that they “cease and desist” from speaking publicly about not wanting to bake cakes for same-sex weddings based on their Christian beliefs.
“The Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries hereby orders [Aaron and Melissa Klein] to cease and desist from publishing, circulating, issuing or displaying, or causing to be published … any communication to the effect that any of the accommodations … will be refused, withheld from or denied to, or that any discrimination be made against, any person on account of their sexual orientation,” Avakian wrote.
The gag order was issued after the Kleins participated in an interview with Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins. During the interview, Aaron said among other things, “This fight is not over. We will continue to stand strong.”
“This effectively strips us of all our First Amendment rights,” wrote the Kleins on their Facebook page. “According to the state of Oregon we neither have freedom of religion or freedom of speech.

~Breitbart
The irony of liberals is really quite disgusting. They want all to either agree with their perversion and worldview OR to be silenced. Yet these are the same ones who revel in being dissenters ("Occupy Wall Street"; crashing Ann Coulter's book signing including insults and screaming, are just two that come to mind).
