Billy Graham

The world loves Billy Graham. He's "counseled" several presidents and has met several popes.  He's known as "America's pastor".  Of course, now that he's dead (interestingly people didn't miss him the last several years even though he's been out of commission), everyone will rave about what a great man Billy Graham was. In fact he's going to lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda. But Scripture states:

Luk 6:26  "Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way.

Joh 15:19  If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20  "Remember the word that I said to you, 'A slave is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

Jas 4:4  You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

A true godly person will face persecution, and Graham did not.  That's another indication he was not of Christ.

2Ti 3:12  Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Mat 5:10  "Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11  "Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
Mat 5:12  "Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Below is information I've shared over the last ten years regarding Billy Graham. It's important to bring it to mind now that he's dead because the biblical Christian cannot think this man was of Christ and therefore praise him. Rather they should mourn his death because he was a false teacher.

Here you can see Rome's praise of Billy Graham and his crusades:

In 2015 I wrote about the separation between Martin Lloy-Jones and Billy Graham:

"To prove the point we remember the way in which Dr Lloyd-Jones refused to work with Billy Graham, and this is a significant example of secondary separation. In 1963 the evangelist asked Dr Lloyd-Jones to chair the first World Congress on Evangelism (eventually held in Berlin in 1966; predecessor to Lausanne). Dr Lloyd-Jones told Billy Graham that if he would stop having liberals and Roman Catholics on his platform and drop the invitation system he would support and chair the Congress…."

"Billy Graham would not change his views, and Dr Lloyd-Jones declined to endorse or commend or work with him. No doubt the meeting between them was courteously conducted (it lasted three hours) but the outcome was a firm application of secondary separation. Dr Lloyd-Jones adopted the same attitude to Billy Graham's London crusades. He took the view, and stated it publicly, that to have visible unity with those who are opposed to essential matters of salvation was sinful. (He also believed the invitation system was a source of mass-delusion and harm to churches.)"

Billy Graham's inclusion of RCC...this is especially condemning of Graham because he holds John Paul 2 up as a believer, all the while Paul 2 blasphemed the very sacrifice of Christ through the damnable eucharist in Mass, taught the dogmas of the RCC which went directly against grace alone in Christ alone apart from any works. John Paul 2 was deceiving millions world-wide:

Dr. Graham told Larry King he had the privilege of seeing the Pope on several occasions at the Vatican.

"And tonight, I have a very strange feeling of loss. I almost feel as though one of my family members has gone. I loved him very much and had the opportunity of discussing so many things with him. And we wrote each other several times during the years," Dr. Graham said.

KING: You said that he was an Evangelist.

GRAHAM: He was, indeed. He traveled throughout the world to bring his Christian message to the world. And we see tonight the outpouring from the world that he touched. And I think he touched almost everybody in the whole world.

KING: There is no question in your mind that he is with God now?

GRAHAM: Oh, no. There may be a question about my own, but
I don't think Cardinal Wojtyla, or the Pope -- I think he's with the Lord, because he believed. He believed in the Cross. That was his focus throughout his ministry, the Cross, no matter if you were talking to him from personal issue or an ethical problem, he felt that there was the answer to all of our problems, the cross and the resurrection. And he was a strong believer.

Additionally I wrote this article: C.S. Lewis, Billy Graham, and the Roman Catholic Church: No need to hear of the Gospel Jesus to be saved

Deny Jesus is the only way of salvation, deny the preaching of the Gospel necessary to be saved, deny justification by faith, deny the ONLY name under heaven by which we must be saved, and hey, you can still be a Christian...and quoted as such from the pulpits!

"There are people in other religions who are being led by God’s secret influence to concentrate
on those parts of their religion which are in agreement with Christianity and who thus belong to Christ without knowing it. For example, a Buddhist of good will may be led to concentrate more and more on the Buddhist teaching about mercy and to leave in the background (although he might still say he believed) the Buddhist teaching on certain other points. Many of the good Pagans long before Christ’s birth may have been in this position…Consequently it is not much use trying to make judgments about Christians and non-Christians in the mass’." On page 173 of ‘Mere Christianity’ C S Lewis.

"Well, Christianity and being a true believer--you know, I think there's the Body of Christ. This comes from all the Christian groups around the world, outside the Christian groups. I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ,
whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ. And I don't think that we're going to see a great sweeping revival, that will turn the whole world to Christ at any time. I think James answered that, the Apostle James in the first council in Jerusalem, when he said that God's purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name. And that's what God is doing today, He's calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ because they've been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don't have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think that they are saved, and that they're going to be with us in heaven....I've met people in various parts of the world in tribal situations, that they have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, and never heard of Jesus, but they've believed in their hearts that there was a God, and they've tried to live a life that was quite apart from the surrounding community in which they lived." - Television interview of Billy Graham by Robert Schuller. May 31, 1997.Transcript of Billy Graham on Robert Schuller's show

But the RCC is a false church.

Roman Catholic Catechism #847 "Those who,
through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation."

Scripture says the above is condemned!

Rom 10:13 For
"everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." 14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"

1Co 15:1 Now I would remind you, brothers, of
the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

1Co 2:1 And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. 2
For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

Act 4:11
This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Rom 10:9
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame."

I believe Graham got this universalism from C.S. Lewis:

"There are people in other religions who are being led by God’s secret influence to concentrate on those parts of their religion which are in agreement with Christianity and who thus belong to Christ without knowing it.

However God says otherwise:

Act 4:11 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for
there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Php 2:9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that
at the name of Jesusevery knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Fatheer.

Rom 10:9 because,
if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lordand believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved

Lousanne Congress Founder--an ecumenical globalist coalition:

Graham also stated in an interview with David Frost (see the video) that "Muhammad had a great respect for Jesus" and that "we're closer to Islam than we really think we are". Of course, Muhammad hated the biblical Christ for he insulted Him by denying Jesus Christ is the risen Lord, Creator of all creation, and God very God. Islam insults the King of kings by elevating Muhammad above Him. Muhammad was a child of the devil and had zero respect for the biblical Jesus. Muhammad went against every major doctrine of Scripture, showing his hatred for God and His Word.

It's obvious to those who truly are the elect of God - Graham was a false teacher and false teachers do not enter God's kingdom. It's interesting to read the comments of the 'upper crust', like Paul Ryan, who praised Graham, ""As soaring a figure as he was, Rev. Graham connected with people on an elemental level. His reach was rooted in decency, humility, and love. He set a tone of ecumenical inclusion, advocated civil rights, and refused to accept the segregation of those attending his crusades. Rev. Graham's service is a testament that, with faith in God, one person can do so much good for the world." Isn't it telling that the unregenerate praise Graham for his ecumenism?

From former President George HW Bush, " I think Billy touched the hearts of not only Christians, but people of all faiths, because he was such a good man." People of 'all faiths' describes his ecumenism. It's telling when unregenerate sinners sing the praises of charlatans like Graham.
Graham was instrumental in leading sinners back to Rome, and his reward is a Christ-less eternity. God is just and righteous in all His ways.
