**UPDATE**
Saeed's wife Naghmeh now claims she was abused by him.
Latest:
"Awoken at knife point, robbed of basic necessities, and denied critical medication. This is what American Pastor Saeed faces on a daily basis – imprisoned in a deadly Iranian prison because of his faith.
What we learned this week is truly horrific.
Pastor Saeed is malnourished, losing weight, covered in lice, surrounded by murderers, and suffering under increasing pain.
He is being left for dead."

On 28 July 2012, during a visit to Tehran to visit family and to finalize the board members for an orphanage he was building in Iran, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard detained Saeed, asserting that he must face criminal charges for his Christian faith. After intense interrogations, Saeed was placed under house arrest and told to wait for a court summons...."

Life Inside Evin Prison, Iran
Ex-prisoner Marina Nemat tells of torture at Evin Prison where Saeed is being held.
One Iranian journalist who was imprisoned for 52 days in Evin, talked about his experience and also that of 19 others. Solitary confinement can include rape with glue, flogging, electric shock, urinating on a prisoner's head and face, even hanging the prisoner from his or her feet. That's just the physical torture. The mental torture can include threats of arresting family, playing the voice of one's child during interrogations, insults, threats of raping one's wife or daughter.
