You Evangelical Mafia Machine leaders, you build the poor, houses; you feed the hungry, food; you defend lawbreakers w/ emotionalism. Yet you cast out and slander those who are in Christ Jesus; you starve, scatter, slaughter & feed off of them to fatten your empire and brand, while claiming God's approval. He sees YOU. The Holy One of Israel, will NOT be mocked, nor will He let His true children go without avenging them.
Amo 4:12 "Therefore, thus I will do to you, O Israel; Because I shall do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel."
Heb 10:30 For we know Him who said, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY." And again, "THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE." 31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
I believe in God. I also believe God. “Discernment is not simply a matter of telling the difference between what is right and wrong; rather it is the difference between right and almost right.” -Charles Spurgeon. Scripture is my authority for all things regarding to life and godliness. 2 Cor.10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ

Amos: a word to the Evangelicals of Today
While Amos prophesied about various countries and especially Israel and Judah, the same can be said regarding the hearts, spirit, and behavior of today's Evangelical Mafia Machine- its leaders, teachers, authors, speakers, elders. This applies to you and your form of godliness as you elevate your conferences, opinions, councils, &coalitions, yet deny the very words and doctrines of Scripture, sitting in judgment of what God has said, relegating it to what you judge as important and not important. You deny His Word and power (they go hand in hand) while you flatter Him and His sheep, even though your hearts are wicked and far from God. You are today's Pharisees, and God sees what you are doing.
Mat 15:5 "But you say, 'Whoever shall say to his father or mother, "Anything of mine you might have been helped by has been given to God,"
Mat 15:6 he is not to honor his father or his mother.' And thus you invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
Mat 15:7 "You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
Mat 15:8 'THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME.
Mat 15:9 'BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.'"
Amo 4:4 "Enter Bethel and transgress; In Gilgal multiply transgression! Bring your sacrifices every morning, Your tithes every three days.
Amo 4:5 "Offer a thank offering also from that which is leavened, And proclaim freewill offerings, make them known. For so you love to do, you sons of Israel," Declares the Lord GOD.
Amo 5:6 "Seek the LORD that you may live, Lest He break forth like a fire, O house of Joseph, And it consume with none to quench it for Bethel,
Amo 5:7 For those who turn justice into wormwood And cast righteousness down to the earth."
Amo 5:8 He who made the Pleiades and Orion And changes deep darkness into morning, Who also darkens day into night, Who calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the surface of the earth, The LORD is His name.
Amo 5:9 It is He who flashes forth with destruction upon the strong, So that destruction comes upon the fortress.
Amo 5:10 They hate him who reproves in the gate, And they abhor him who speaks with integrity.
Amo 5:11 Therefore, because you impose heavy rent on the poor And exact a tribute of grain from them, Though you have built houses of well-hewn stone, Yet you will not live in them; You have planted pleasant vineyards, yet you will not drink their wine.
Amo 5:12 For I know your transgressions are many and your sins are great, You who distress the righteous and accept bribes, And turn aside the poor in the gate.
Amo 5:18 Alas, you who are longing for the day of the LORD, For what purpose will the day of the LORD be to you? It will be darkness and not light;
Amo 5:19 As when a man flees from a lion, And a bear meets him, Or goes home, leans his hand against the wall, And a snake bites him.
Amo 5:20 Will not the day of the LORD be darkness instead of light, Even gloom with no brightness in it?
Amo 5:21 "I hate, I reject your festivals, Nor do I delight in your solemn assemblies.
Amo 5:22 "Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them; And I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fatlings.
Amo 5:23 "Take away from Me the noise of your songs; I will not even listen to the sound of your harps.
Amo 5:24 "But let justice roll down like waters And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
Amo 6:3 Do you put off the day of calamity, And would you bring near the seat of violence?
Amo 6:4 Those who recline on beds of ivory And sprawl on their couches, And eat lambs from the flock And calves from the midst of the stall,
Amo 6:5 Who improvise to the sound of the harp, And like David have composed songs for themselves,
Amo 6:6 Who drink wine from sacrificial bowls While they anoint themselves with the finest of oils, Yet they have not grieved over the ruin of Joseph.
Amo 7:5 Then I said, "Lord GOD, please stop! How can Jacob stand, for he is small?"
Amo 7:6 The LORD changed His mind about this. "This too shall not be," said the Lord GOD.
Amo 7:7 Thus He showed me, and behold, the Lord was standing by a vertical wall, with a plumb line in His hand.
Amo 7:8 And the LORD said to me, "What do you see, Amos?" And I said, "A plumb line." Then the Lord said, "Behold I am about to put a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel. I will spare them no longer.
Amo 7:9 "The high places of Isaac will be desolated And the sanctuaries of Israel laid waste. Then shall I rise up against the house of Jeroboam with the sword."
Amo 7:10 Then Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, sent word to Jeroboam, king of Israel, saying, "Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is unable to endure all his words.
Amo 7:11 "For thus Amos says, 'Jeroboam will die by the sword and Israel will certainly go from its land into exile.'"
Amo 7:12 Then Amaziah said to Amos, "Go, you seer, flee away to the land of Judah, and there eat bread and there do your prophesying!
Amo 7:13 "But no longer prophesy at Bethel, for it is a sanctuary of the king and a royal residence."

The Evangelical Mafia Machine Treat Sin Lightly And Judge Holiness As Darkness
While this is directly relating to Israel, it is also true of today's Evangelical Machine because it's the same spirit of religious men who claim to speak for and know God while they reject His precise Word and declaring what is evil (evolution, homosexuals, feminists, plagiarists, liars) as good, light, sweet, and what is good (righteous, godly, fearing God, those who warn, discernment, judging sin as sin, treating Scripture as Scripture, having biblical wisdom, and refusing to submit to unprincipled religious leaders) as evil, dark, bitter. By saying one can be a homosexual Christian, a Charismatic/NAR/WOF Christian, an evolutionist Christian, or a feminist Christian, as these celebrity Evangelical conference speakers, authors, singers, and teachers do, they treat lightly the sin of those who claim the holy name of Christ Jesus the Master and King. Therefore there can't be any repentance toward God and rejection of wickedness.
Hos 8:12 Though I wrote for him ten thousand precepts of My law, They are regarded as a strange thing.
Isa 5:16 But the LORD of hosts will be exalted in judgment, And the holy God will show Himself holy in righteousness.
Isa 5:17 Then the lambs will graze as in their pasture, And strangers will eat in the waste places of the wealthy.
Isa 5:18 Woe to those who drag iniquity with the cords of falsehood, And sin as if with cart ropes;
Isa 5:19 Who say, "Let Him make speed, let Him hasten His work, that we may see it; And let the purpose of the Holy One of Israel draw near And come to pass, that we may know it!"
Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isa 5:21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And clever in their own sight!
Isa 5:22 Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine, And valiant men in mixing strong drink;
Isa 5:23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!
Isa 5:24 Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes stubble, And dry grass collapses into the flame, So their root will become like rot and their blossom blow away as dust; For they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Jer 8:4 "And you shall say to them, 'Thus says the LORD, "Do men fall and not get up again? Does one turn away and not repent?
Jer 8:5 "Why then has this people, Jerusalem, Turned away in continual apostasy? They hold fast to deceit, They refuse to return.
Jer 8:6 "I have listened and heard, They have spoken what is not right; No man repented of his wickedness, Saying, 'What have I done?' Everyone turned to his course, Like a horse charging into the battle.
Jer 8:7 "Even the stork in the sky Knows her seasons; And the turtledove and the swift and the thrush Observe the time of their migration; But My people do not know The ordinance of the LORD.
Jer 8:8 "How can you say, 'We are wise, And the law of the LORD is with us'? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes Has made it into a lie.
Jer 8:9 "The wise men are put to shame, They are dismayed and caught; Behold, they have rejected the word of the LORD, And what kind of wisdom do they have?
Jer 8:10 "Therefore I will give their wives to others, Their fields to new owners; Because from the least even to the greatest Everyone is greedy for gain; From the prophet even to the priest Everyone practices deceit.

2Pe 2:17 These are springs without water, and mists driven by a storm, for whom the black darkness has been reserved.
2Pe 2:18 For speaking out arrogant words of vanity they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error,
2Pe 2:19 promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved.

John MacArthur's Hypocrisy and Pragmatism
The Pharisees were known for being hypocrites. "Do as I say, not as I do" described them and all hypocrites. They have a double standard: one for themselves and one for everyone else. They do this in the name of God. Yet the God of Scripture is far from hypocrisy. He is the impartial Judge; perfectly righteous and holy. He judges all people to the one perfect standard: Himself. God holds those who teach His Word, to a stricter judgment as well, because they do so under His Name:
Jas 3:1 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we shall incur a stricter judgment.
So when someone like John MacArthur starts writing his opinions on social justice, I have to point out his own hypocrisy and that of his church and ministry (which are all intertwined).
In his message on social justice (the staffer running GTY's website has broken it down into installments, so I'm referring to the second part), he states:

In his message on social justice (the staffer running GTY's website has broken it down into installments, so I'm referring to the second part), he states:
Evangelicals as a group have shown an unsettling willingness to compromise or unnecessarily obfuscate all kinds of issues where Scripture has spoken plainly and without ambiguity.
For example, despite the clarity of 1 Timothy 2:12 (“I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man”), leading evangelicals have been debating for several years whether women qualify to be elders or pastors in the church. Many capitulate to cultural preference rather than submitting to biblical authority on this and other similar issues. Some have tried to redefine the role and proper functioning of the family. Others seem to want to deconstruct—or simply ignore—what the Bible says about divorce and remarriage.
More disturbing yet, over the past few years some evangelicals have begun to borrow moral rationalizations from secular culture in the wake of America’s sexual revolution. For years there has been a slow but steady softening of evangelicals’ stance against sex outside of marriage. More recently, and more ominously, several vocal evangelicals (including some in positions of leadership or influence) have been tinkering with novel ideas regarding gender fluidity, sexual orientation, transgenderism, and homosexual marriage. Those are issues that generations of believers would never have dreamed of putting on the table for debate or redefinition in the church. But at this very moment there is a burgeoning campaign to reconsider and abandon the church’s historic stance on LGBT issues under the banner of “social justice.”

That he begins with showing the earlier problem of feminism within the churches, is where we need to stop. Why? Because even with the first problem he's being a hypocrite.
His own seminary is connected directly with a church in Virginia that is feministic. This church is now led by a former pastor from MacArthur's own church, Grace Community Church, Jesse Johnson. Johnson is the dean at this extension of TMS, and was an adjunct professor at the California campus. Also, he occasionally writes for "Crippledgate" and is active on Twitter as well.
Here's what Johnson's church states regarding women's roles of teaching men in his church's handbook on the topic p.8 in the handbook, p. 12 in pdf page count:
Quote:
"Missionaries We believe that men and women in missionary service should follow the mandates of the Scriptures as churches are established. Missionaries receiving support from Immanuel Bible Church shall be guided by the Scriptures concerning the roles of men and women in the church as they respond to diverse cultural and ethnic differences. Women in missionary service may find themselves in situations requiring them to assume teaching and leadership roles normally reserved for men. This typically occurs where no qualified men are available. Once a church has been established and qualified men become available, they shall assume leadership roles.

And MacArthur dares to call out the pragmatism and violation of Scripture within Evangelicalism? Do as I say, not as I do.
MacArthur states:
"The common link in those continual compromises is pragmatism*, driven by a desire to reach the world and win its support and admiration by utilitarian means....
"The common link in those continual compromises is pragmatism*, driven by a desire to reach the world and win its support and admiration by utilitarian means....
Today it has penetrated deep into the culture of the church, and the end effect is disaster.
Every one of those deviations from sound gospel doctrine has been driven and advanced by evangelicals seeking acceptance in the broader culture. Some of the errors I have singled out (seeker sensitivity and the explosive growth of the charismatic movement) have been promoted by evangelicals who think that whatever attracts the world must be the right doctrine or strategy....
*Pragmatism, quite simply, is the notion that the truthfulness or value of any strategy, idea, or truth claim is determined by its practical results. If a tactic produces the desired effect, it is deemed good. In the realm of church growth and gospel ministry, pragmatism as a guiding philosophy is severely flawed—even dangerously detrimental—for a couple of reasons that should be fairly obvious.
Number one, pragmatism alone cannot define what “the desired result” ought to be. If the goal is bad and the strategy works, it’s a bad strategy. In fact, if the desired end is evil, the strategy used to achieve it is by definition evil.
Second, and more to the point, raw pragmatism is unbiblical. God’s Word itself is the only reliable test of how good or bad anything is.
End quote. (bold, red, my emphasis)
End quote. (bold, red, my emphasis)
I have dealt with the issue of women teaching men here. Besides the real issue of actually trusting in God's absolute sovereignty to save by His designated ways we find in Scripture, the fundamental issue without view to culture is this:
1Tim. 2: 11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.
This is not merely inside a church building. This is a fundamental issue of women teaching men spiritually (the same issue remains inside marriage--women aren't to be leaders of their homes, either). What is a missionary on the field, but one who is preaching the Gospel to men and women, and then making disciples and thus discipling them in the doctrines in Scripture? Yet what does Jesse Johnson's church, Immanuel Bible Church state? While claiming "We believe that men and women in missionary service should follow the mandates of the Scriptures as churches are established" they then teaching and practice against it with their pragmatism: "Women in missionary service may find themselves in situations requiring them to assume teaching and leadership roles normally reserved for men. This typically occurs where no qualified men are available. Once a church has been established and qualified men become available, they shall assume leadership roles. " There is the abject and glaring hypocrisy. Giving lip service to biblical doctrine (and therefore demonstrating that sound, biblical doctrine is merely an optional view, not absolute truth that MUST be obeyed), they then turn right around and teach a practice that is contrary to it. This is the pragmatism MacArthur dares to point out about "out there", but not within his own circle.
Another example of MacArthur's hypocrisy is that he continues to pulpit fellowship with social justice/liberation theology/pro-"Christian" homosexual feminists like Tim Keller, John Piper , and Ravi Zacharias:
As I believe that he wrote his article series in one complete message and it was likely done weeks ago, there should have been action following his message where he's the first to do what he has purportedly taught (why this wasn't done years ago is beyond me as he has taught about gender roles for Christians over the last 32 years, shows another problem). In other words, God requires impartiality and integrity to be displayed by Bible teachers and that requires cleaning his own house first before decrying that same problem abroad (Matt. 5 is extensive on this). This would mean MacArthur not only cancels his teaching at the Getty's Sing! 2018, but also his association with both T4G and TGC (as both have leaders/speakers that intertwine) and publicly explain why. Otherwise MacArthur's finger pointing and seemingly disheartened feelings of the broad sweep of pragmatism and error is just empty and hallow, because let's face it, his own ministry is also perpetrating this very same thing (there are other issues that GCC/TMS has done that reflect the pragmatic seeker-sensitive model he decries, but that might be something I'll write about at another time).
Jas 2:1 My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism.
Jas 2:9 But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
Pro 24:23 These also are sayings of the wise. To show partiality in judgment is not good.
Gal 2:4 But it was because of the false brethren who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage. 5 But we did not yield in subjection to them for even an hour, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you. 6 But from those who were of high reputation (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)--well, those who were of reputation contributed nothing to me.
1Ti 5:21 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels, to maintain these principles without bias, doing nothing in a spirit of partiality.
2Jn 1:9 Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; 11 for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.

Today's Evangelical Leaders Are Yesterday's Pharisees
1Ti 4:13 Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching. 14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed upon you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.15 Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident to all.16 Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things; for as you do this you will insure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.
Mat 5:27 "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY';
Mat 5:28 but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
The Pharisees thought certain actions made one righteous (like fasting, offerings, alms), and that not doing certain actions (not sleeping with a woman not their wife, for example) made them righteous as well.
Today's religious Evangelical leaders believe that:
certain doctrine makes them righteous
not all doctrine is needed for sanctification
abstaining from certain works makes them righteous
doing certain actions makes them righteous
They then can claim a small set of doctrine and actions to define what a true, faithful, mature Christian is, while at the same time treating as strange, unimportant, and useless, many biblical doctrines--and really Scripture itself--thus ignoring it and not feeding it to the sheep as Paul exhorted Timothy to do.
These leaders forget or really, ignore, that it is a heart of unbelief, to have such a disposition toward all sound doctrine and all of Scripture, and that such a disbelief is actually rebellion. That is to say, that to neglect the WHOLE counsel of scripture (which includes the entire O.T. and the covenants and all the doctrine therein), dividing it into sections of that which is "unnecessary", "more important", or "less important", is a hostile disposition toward God and that is what makes a man unclean.
The OT is what the Bereans tested Paul against to see if he was of God. It is the Scripture that Paul speaks of in 1 Tim. 4:13, and is definitely included by Peter in 2 Peter 3:16. In fact, the book of Hebrews has entire chapters devoted to Christology grounded in the OT. That many of today's "sound" teachers of renown neglect the systematic teaching of the OT is to rebel against clear Scripture and the King Himself. It is also to starve the sheep.
So really the problem is that today's Evangelical leaders miss is that they are just as unclean as their predecessors by:
associations and a disposition of acceptance or tolerance toward false teachers within their own camp
the unrepentant sin of partiality
the hypocrisy of teaching while not living in line with Scripture
the pride and arrogance to think that they themselves or their "trusted" friends in ministry wouldn't or even couldn't, be deceived because they know too much, been in ministry too long, have supposedly sound men around them, read a lot, study a lot, have preached for decades.
Spiritual harlotry is worse than physical adultery, yet these leaders think that the physical is the only kind, and therefore they fancy themselves as remaining "righteous".
Not watching one's life and doctrine closely and giving attention to the OT as well as the NT and teaching all its doctrine, is to not insure the salvation both for themselves and those who hear them.
Mat 5:27 "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY';
Mat 5:28 but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Thabiti Anyabwile (Ron Burns): that was then, this is now
That was then:
2008 at T4G "The majority of people have identities and lives that have been based on assumption regarding the notion of “race.” We need to change toward a more biblical theology of ethnicity. First of all, it is important to define terms and use them properly, especially “race” versus “ethnicity.” The Christian needs to understand man’s unity in Adam, union with Christ and unity in the church."
July 17, 2013, resurrected by Jesse Johnson here.
That was then, but not really: January 2015 at the Truth and Life conference at TMU where Anyabwile promoted an anti-police stance. Included in this article is more info on Anyabwile (Ron Burns).
As I reported in a previous article on Anyabwile, you can see how the racism came out in his Truth and Life message. I wrote:

What I'm still trying to understand is how in two cases where the perps were clearly guilty of a crime and dealt with in such a way that was proven not to be racially motivated has now turned into a discussion on how the "white Church" needs to fix its problems. First off, Mike Brown wasn't a Christian, and for all we know neither is Darren Wilson. Forensics as well as the APB put out on Brown proved two things: 1. He robbed a store and was being sought after by police. 2. When found, he charged after a police officer and was shot at close range. This has no ecclesiastical connection, but people will exploit such for the sake of their own credibility and relevancy. As for the Eric Garner case, likewise, Garner was no Christian, at least it can be observed by the fruit of both he and Brown that neither claimed Christ as Lord. The police officers who wrestled him to the ground were all under the supervision of a black, female police officer, who also was under the supervision of a black police officer. These officers were told to patrol this particular area more thoroughly because of illegal sales and what do ya know? There was the repeat offender Eric Garner. The rest is history, but do you see the disconnect? Only a fool and a subtle racist would stand behind a pulpit to make these two cases connect to the Church at large. It seems to me that people should be taking heed to more Voddie Baucham and less Thabiti Anyabwile.

Thabiti pushed for godless politicians to lead our country like Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton:
On voting for Hillary and not Trump.
Vote for Hillary (Sanders lost in the primary because Hillary interfered with the election).
The sure sign of Christian compromise in any age or situation is willingness to play in shadows while refusing to name the darkness.
The problem with him is that he wants white Christians to seek forgiveness by today's offended folks, for the past sins of dead people. This is insanity. What can the living forgive if a sin was not committed against them? To try to make any Christian feel guilty for a sin they didn't commit (nor by the way, did anyone in their family that they knew of), is slander and UNjust. Moreover, it makes that "reconciliation" a total fraud. This IS "peace-faking".
Mat 3:16 And after being baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon Him,
Mat 3:17 and behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased."
Mat 17:5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!" Mat 17:6 And when the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were much afraid.
Joh 15:10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love. There is quite a lot of problems with Anyabwile. His divisive, angry, and unfaithful to the Scriptures.

Congratulations white evangelicalism on your candidate's win. I don't understand you and I think you just sealed some aweful fate.
The sure sign of Christian compromise in any age or situation is willingness to play in shadows while refusing to name the darkness.
Anyabwile's idea of "reconciliation": "My white neighbors and Christian brethren can start by at least saying their parents and grandparents and this country are complicit in murdering a man who only preached love and justice....Don’t get me wrong. I know Dr. King’s life was much greater than his death."
The problem is that MLK Jr. was a plagarist, a womanizer, and a flaming heretic. So much for love, peace, and justice.
In this article, Anyabwile appeals to made up categories of "judicial forgiveness" and "judicial contrition". Then he skips over the real issue that is at the heart of any biblically-defined sin: the substitutionary atonement and propitation Christ Jesus made to the Father:
"In the matter of ethnic reconciliation in America, judicial contrition is the cross to be carried by White brothers and sisters. Judicial contrition readies our white brothers and sisters to admit or confess the sins of their forebears and where necessary confess and repent of any present iteration of those sins. Like judicial forgiveness, it often feels like an unfair burden, but it’s the path to freedom and restoration. Repentance always is."
Additionally, his horrific view of Jesus Christ is in his treatment of Psalm 22. He makes Jesus to be an emotional basket case, feeling deserted by everyone and abandoned by the Father. His view of Christ is unholy and needy. Moreover his view reveals a severing of the Trinity. Christ had perfectly pleased His Father in all things. He wasn't abandoned. He was still part of the Trinity.

Cripplegate's Clint Archer's Cliff Note Doctrinal Triage of Christology
Doing what God Himself didn't do: Christology in under 500 words.
Clint Archer wrote a woeful Cliff Note doctrinal triage of Christ Jesus--in 500 words. By using a self-inflicted constrain which God Himself never uses (for good reason), Archer not only omits a huge part of who Christ is--Creator--- but other doctrine ** like the impeccability of Christ (it wasn't that He just didn't sin, but that in His very unchanging nature--He couldn't sin (see Phil. 2 for an example--the Greek clarifies this very well)). Jesse Johnson (formally a "pastor" at MacArthur's church, now in Virginia) retweeted Archer's short list in a positive light.
Under "The Person of Christ" Archer wrote: "He is fully God (i.e. uncreated and eternally one with the Father and the Spirit; see Col. 2:9 and Heb. 1:3, " but both references are missing the issue which is Christ introduced as Creator:
Col 1:15 And He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation.
Col 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things have been created by Him and for Him.
Col 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
Col 1:18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything.
Col 1:19 For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fulness to dwell in Him,
Heb 1:2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
Heb 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Heb 11:2 For by it the men of old gained approval.
Heb 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
But if the sound doctrine of Creation in six literal days by God's Word is just a matter of personal preference, then one will necessarily neglect this aspect of who the Christ Jesus the Lord truly is. Moreover, it will divorce also the "Christian" from sanctification and ecclesiology (among other doctrines--see Col. 1 above), since God Himself binds them together. Unless of course men at the Cripplegate think sanctification isn't necessarily necessary (also known as "easy believism").
This is why chopping up Scripture, that is to say, taking it out of context in an attempt to proof-text one's notion that there is a bare minimum (say, under 500 words), is not only daring to sit in judgment of God's Word and forcing it into a false grid of varying degrees of importance and lesser importance, but it's nothing more than taking not only verses, but doctrine, out of context. Isolating down to "bare bones" isn't what Scripture teaches. Surely that isn't what Jesus ever taught in His three years of earthly ministry, culminating in His command in Matt. 28:19-20. If ever there was a place and time for "bare minimum" teaching, wouldn't it have been just before He ascended to Heaven? Yet He reiterated that the apostles and disciples are to teach ALL that He commanded.
One example of Paul teaching the context of who Christ is and His gospel is in Acts 16:
Act 16:30 and after he brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
Act 16:31 And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household."
Act 16:32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him together with all who were in his house.
Paul teaches Christology, the Gospel, and regeneration from Genesis 1:
2Co 4:2 but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2Co 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
2Co 4:4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
2Co 4:5 For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake.
2Co 4:6 For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth....3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
Stay away from men who think themselves as shepherds but tamper with sound doctrine.
Act 20:26 "Therefore I testify to you this day, that I am innocent of the blood of all men.
Act 20:27 "For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.
Act 20:28 "Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
Act 20:29 "I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;
Act 20:30 and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
**Other doctrines that the sound doctrine of Creation is inseparably bound to:

Teachers In Boston Suburb Emails Prove Bias In History Class And A Call To Defy Unbiased Teaching of History
Ilya Feoktistov over at The Federalist breaks a HUGE story about the utter bias of history teachers at a Newton, MA high school. You can see their self-contradiction (they want to propagandize their students, while demanding that offering other views would allow for the propaganda they hate). The mentality of these teachers not only shows a very liberal bias, but shows insubordination to the principal (the guidelines required by all teachers) and the school district. You really need to read this article. Here are some excerpts:
Quote:
The guidelines asked teachers to remain objective while teaching about historical and current events; and to treat all students, regardless of political opinion, with respect. Teachers were told: “For current controversial issues (health care, immigration, environmental policies, gun laws), teach students that there are different perspectives and present the reasoning of those who hold those different perspectives.”
Ibokette was having none of it. He typed this reply: “I am concerned that the call for ‘objectivity’ may just inadvertently become the most effective destructive weapon against social justice,” and sent it to the members of Newton North’s history department....
Earlier that February day, Bedar sent an email to fellow Newton North history faculty, accusing President Trump and his supporters of “nativism, xenophobia, homophobia, etc.,” and objecting to the following “don’ts” that the Newton North principal had asked teachers to avoid:
- “Assume that all students agree with us. . . .”
- “Assume that all students feel comfortable disagreeing with us. . . .”
- “Present facts or logic that support only one side of a current controversial issue. . . .”
- “Present our own personal opinion on a current controversial issue as more right than another viewpoint. . . .”
These guidelines seem like Pedagogy 101, and are foundational to correctly applying logic and reason. Yet Bedar, who holds a master’s in teaching from the prestigious Duke University, admitted to his colleagues:
Personally, I’m finding it really difficult in the current climate to teach kids to appreciate other perspectives. . .
....Newton North guidelines explicitly tell teachers to teach about the reasoning behind different perspectives on immigration.
Yet, in remarkable language, Bedar demanded that the school allow him to propagandize against it, and to do so without any professional consequences: “I have an obligation to teach civic duty and teach kids right and wrong, and about social justice. . . . This will probably be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t actually think we should have the option of not discussing [social justice] issues. I feel responsible for doing so. . . . We can help kids interpret the lessons of the past better than anybody. I feel like a phony when I’m not doing that. . . . But..this is hard. I don’t want to get fired for being a liberal propagandist” (emphasis added).
End quote. (bold, red, my emphasis; italics, original)Feoktisov shares the link to the emails here.
Feoktistov goes on to talk about how their efforts reminded him of 5th grade history class in Siberia a year after the USSR fell, and the teacher one day said there was nothing more to teach because all the textbooks were useless since they were full of Communist Party lies. He then noted:
"Undaunted by the failures of their comrades in the Soviet Union and other socialist hell-holes, left-wing activists are dug in at all stages of the American educational process from preschool to graduate school, where they seek to replicate the Soviet Union’s abuse of its children’s minds with lurid lies."
