Typical: N. California Girl Scouts Used As Pawns In Sodomite Agenda; Sodomite Activists Attack Preachers Who Oppose Sodomy

They still don't get it. The homosexual activists don't know, in their willing ignorance and rebellion, that the rainbow is hardly a sign to promote sodomy; it was and continues to be the sign of God's promise to not flood the world again to punish it for its wickedness. The Flood came as punishment for all mankind's sin and rebellion against God. The next time God punishes the world it won't be by water. It will be by fire. Its time people start getting informed from Scripture about what the rainbow is about, what the flood was about, and what the future holds. Then again, most  are biased and intolerant against Scripture and its Author, and their intolerance and anger won't allow them to carefully consider the truth.

Gen 6:5  Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually....12  God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. 13  Then God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.

Gen 6:17  "Behold, I, even I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall perish

Gen 7:19  The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered. 20  The water prevailed fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered. 21  All flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind; 22  of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died. 23  Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.

Gen 9:11  "I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood, neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth." 12  God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations; 13  I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. 14  "It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud, 15  and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh.

SAN FRANCISCO, July 5, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Weeks after their male counterparts stoked controversy by changing their rules to allow openly gay members, Girl Scouts USA made history in their own way after some 90+ of their members and their families marched in San Francisco’s recent Gay Pride Parade - the first time they have ever done so.
Girl Scouts of Northern California announced their participation in the parade in a post on their official Facebook page, accompanied by a photo of the girls in uniform carrying a Girl Scouts banner.
"I want them to be able to tell their children they were a part of this," mom Del Gregor, 53, who was at the parade with her 11-year-old Girl Scout daughter, told USA Today. "By the time they're grown up, their kids won't believe there was a time when gay people couldn't get married."
~LifeSite News
WND reports :
The violence that has been threatened for years by homosexuals who are intolerant of those who espouse an opposing world view turned real at a “gay pride” event recently in Seattle, where authorities arrested two men for attacking a preacher.
According to the Twitchy site, the two men arrested included Jason Qeuree, who reportedly has been arrested more than two dozen times since 1995.
The free expression was too much for the homosexual event’s crowd. A group of girls tried to grab one preacher’s sign away from him. Then he is slammed from behind, allegedly by Qeuree, and repeatedly punched.
Police said they made two arrests.
Threats of such attacks – and much worse – have been reported up and down the West Coast since 2008 when voters in California adopted a one-man-one-woman definition of marriage for their state constitution.
A homosexual judge later overturned that...

But out of both scenarios came a long list of documented incidents of hate-filled threats against those who oppose promoting homosexuality:
Those included
  • “I’m going to kill the pastor.”
  • “If I had a gun I would have gunned you down along with each and every other supporter…”
  • “We’re going to kill you.”
  • “You’re dead. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon … you’re dead.”
  • “I’m a gay guy who owns guns, and he’s my next target.”
  • “I warn you, I know how to kill, I’m an ex-special forces person.”
  • “Get ready for retribution all you bigots.”
  • Burn their f—ing churches to the ground, and then tax the charred timbers.”
Also, churches were marred by graffiti, swastikas on lawns and walls, bricks thrown through windows and doors, adhesive poured into locks, and suspicious packages of white powder sent in the mail, reports confirmed.

Where's the tolerance and freedom of speech? What about the anti-bullying message the Left loves to push? Its hypocrisy, plain and simple, not to mention immature and sinful.

Feminism is one of the first steps to accepting and promoting sodomy. It all comes down to rejection and rebellion against God's created order. But don't mock Him who is faithful and true as if He doesn't keep His word....

2Pe 3:3  Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, 4  and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." 5  For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water,6  through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. 7  But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

Now is the time to repent of all of one's sins against the thrice holy God and seek His mercy and forgiveness. Now is the time to see salvation from His coming wrath, and trust fully in the Person and work of the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, who took the punishment for many sinners, while Himself was without sin. Jesus Christ's payment and His righteousness is the only way one can be forgiven of all one's sins and have eternal life, peace with God, joy unmeasured, grace, hope, and unconditional selfless love. Bondage to sin is death, but life is found in Christ alone.

Rom 1:28  And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,
Rom 1:29  being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,
Rom 1:30  slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31  without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;

Rom 1:32  and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

Act 17:24  "The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;
Act 17:25  nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things;
Act 17:26  and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,
Act 17:27  that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
Act 17:28  for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, 'For we also are His children.'
Act 17:29  "Being then the children of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man.
Act 17:30  "Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent,
Act 17:31  because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead."

Challies and Discernment Bloggers: his rant continues as does his hypocrisy

It appears that Tim Challies is once again slamming, even slandering discernment bloggers.(Go here for Daniel Chew's recent article on Challies' continued attack on discernment blogs) The watchman, the discerner of discernment bloggers, the critic of critics, the bloggers of bloggers, Challies is this time up in arms about criticism he has gotten. No names of persons or blogs are given; no facts with evidence; only a general swipe at them as bullies, fear mongers, and liars because he says so.

Challies' Hypocrisy:

"The Christian’s attitude toward others, especially in difficult times, is to be one of optimism rather than pessimism, hope rather than doubt. We, of all people, should be slow to put aside hope and belief. This means that I owe it to C.J.Mahaney, to SGM and to those who have levelled allegations to believe the best about them, to hope all things for them."

~Challies on the sexual abuse charges against Sovereign Grace Ministries/church headed by CJ Mahaney (the case is going to court; go here for more info)

Yet the standard is different for discernment bloggers who take his public opinions, actions, etc. and test them against Scripture:

"The second lesson is one I am surprised I did not see before: Discernment bloggers often operate by fear...The discernment blogs are too often marked by neither truth nor love. " ~Challies

Indeed, Challies plays the victim when he's at fault for his own actions and double standards. He has repeatedly  given credence to enemies of the Cross (Rick Warren, Mark Driscoll Ann Voskamp, Donald Witney), shows little anger toward the nastiness going on at SGM, and then complains when his error is revealed by the light of truth.

The hypocrisy of Challies is that while he continues to slam discernment bloggers by slander (he claims they operate on fear and lies--accusations he doesn't back up in any specific way--just accusations of nameless people), he himself wrote a book on discernment. He allows himself to be the discernment blogger of discernment bloggers. He is unwilling to assign motives and indeed gives wide grace to the SGM sexual abuse charges ( or  false teacher Rick Warren for example), but is generous with his assigning motives and allegations against discernment bloggers that he doesn't like. He is unwilling to give the same grace and thus withhold his opinion and slander that he demands of everyone re: himself. That's the epitome of hypocrisy.

If Challies is upset with bloggers exposing his error, then he should either stop his error or stop reading about himself.  Perhaps he's in the wrong field of choice. Liberals want to consort with the enemy of Christ and then complain with those in Christ expose their disloyalty toward HIM and His flock. You can't play with fire and then complain when the fire department shows up with hoses turned on and dowsing the entire house. Its your fault for playing with the matches and starting a fire.

Challies' standard for everyone else but himself is hypocritical. Did he personally try to approach those he claims have slandered him? Does he see into their hearts to see if they have love or not? He knows their motives?  Did he verify the facts? Oh, he had them from their website? Cannot the same be said for those bloggers he's railing against? So how is his violation of his own standrd ok? If a person consorts with false teachers, they have invited rightful criticism. 2John 9-11 makes this very clear.

By trying to denigrate a much needed spiritual gift like discernment, into something so nasty he uses it like a cuss word (perhaps now he and others like him will just use the phrase "the D word"), labeling it as gossip, intimidation, lies, slander, bullying, merely shows that he can't stand under the weight of discernment. Are there people who really  do say nasty things? Sure. But so what? Challies  yet again makes sweeping generalizations and lumps all discernment bloggers into his trash can as worthless and gossiping bullies. A true mature believer won't keep reading about himself and then write a whole article about how he's a "victim" of his own public words. One thing I've learned is that when "famous online Christian experts" get publicly exposed for their error, their pride comes out in major ways. The non-committed, take-no-sides men suddenly take a side vehemently and come out slandering others themselves.

Oprah's Racism

***UPDATE at the bottom of the article***

Excerpts:

"As long as there are people who still, there’s a whole generation – I say this, you know, I said this, you know, for apartheid South Africa, I said this for my own, you know, community in the south - there are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die." - Oprah Winfrey in her interview with BBC's Will Gompertz

So in Winfrey's view, it's older white people that are the problem, and once they die, racism ends.

Yet three months ago, she said of the George Zimmerman verdict, "It's ridiculous to look at that case and not to think that race was involved."
Zimmerman's only 30 years old and is Hispanic.
It is patently absurd to suggest that racism is caused by old white people when racism and religious bigotry cut across all generations and ethnicities.
But folks such as Winfrey don't want to look at it that way, for they have a different agenda...
End quote.
Then she goes on as the Sheppard reports:
Quote:
"Just the level of disrespect. When the Senator yelled out, “You’re a liar.” Remember that? Yeah, I think that there is a level of disrespect for the office that occurs, and that occurs in some cases and maybe even many cases because he’s African-American." - Oprah Winfrey to the question by Gompertz  of the "treatment of Obama and the challenges he’s faced and some of the reporting he’s received is because he’s an African-American..?"
Some question, huh? You'd think Obama was the first president to ever have challenges and confrontations. Was Gompertz on another planet when George W. Bush was regularly being attacked by his opponents?
What Winfrey conveniently ignores is that she endorsed and campaigned for Obama BECAUSE he was an African-American. He wouldn't have gotten her support or been elected if he wasn't.

End quote.

~Noel Sheppard, News Busters
Interesting that Winfrey would make such a bold racist statement to an outside media outlet ---BBC--- and not to an American one. Makes me think of the "Dixie Chicks' " anti-Bush comments when outside our country (I can't recall but it may have even been in the UK) comments during their performance and she apologized for his decisions).

The hypocrisy, again, of the liberals such as Winfrey is that  they DO judge people based on skin color, not conduct of character (remember when Winfrey pulled the race card when she didn't get the customer service she deemed acceptable in a high-end store in Switerland?). The Martin/Zimmerman case is a classic example of how people think by skin color and not by CONDUCT OF CHARACTER (Martin was a punk 17 year old, who was a thief and smoked dope but was hailed as a 12 year old innocent boy who could do not wrong). As for Obama, let's remember that he is half white, and VERY liberal to the point of being a socialist/statist.

To vote or not vote for a person based on the color of their skin IS by definition, racist.

Put another way, to prove racism has diminished here in the US, people voted by race.

Get the hypocrisy? Its like someone judging another for being judgemental.

To call for accountability, dissent, vehement disagreement, with someone's worldview and actions as racist (when race has nothing to do with it), is to reveal the real racism within the person shouting "racist!" to anyone who disagrees with a black or even half-white person. Furthermore, to silence dissent shows the utter intolerance of such liberals like Oprah.

Redefining vehement disagreement as "disrespect" is hogwash and pitiful.  There is much to reject in Obama because of his worldview, his fraud on the American people via his Obamacare law, and thus his known lying about it. That's only one issue. There's also the amnesty issue, government buying companies, dictating private financial instutions...the list is long on his anti-Constititutionalism. Who cares about his skin color?

Racists like Oprah can't stand to be challenged for their wrong views and actions, so all that's left is emotionalism by use of the race card.

Racism seems its perpetrated by Oprah herself. She ought to start with the woman in the mirror in dealing with racism.

"In 1911, former slave Booker T. Washington prophetically wrote about "black leaders" like Cleaver, Jackson and Sharpton: "There is (a) class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. … There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public." "

~Larry Elder

Another person who speaks to this issue is Dr. Walter Martin in his article, "Black Self-Sabotage".

Here's what Larry Elder said about racism as a major issue in America:

ELDER: Racism is not a major problem in America anymore, Piers. Racism is not a major problem in America anymore. The number one problem facing black people are the large number of black people born outside of wedlock, 75 percent. In 1960, 5 percent of all people in this country were born outside of wedlock. Fast forward, Piers, the number now is 43 percent.
You look at that for crime, dropouts, all that kind of stuff, it's connected. The other big problem facing black America, Piers, is the economy. One in two black men does not have a job and one of the heads of the commercial black caucus once said if a white person were in the White House we would be marching on the place because of the high unemployment, but we're talking about Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman as if it's the number one problem facing black America? It is a remotely on the top 10 list, Piers.
End quote.
Dr. Thomas Sowell and Dr. Walter Williams also say the same thing and have written and spoken on what Elders said in his above quote, extensively. A good place to start is Sowell's book "Black Rednecks and White Liberals".

Now, Black leader Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson called on Oprah to either prove her racist claims or shut up. Her racism is doing more harm than good and is quite dishonest, Peterson states:

“I’m calling on Oprah to back up her claims and give proof of blacks being terrorized by whites. She can’t – because it’s not happening.”
“To the contrary, it’s black thugs who viciously attack and commit crimes against whites,” Peterson said. “Black criminals are also killing other blacks in cities like Chicago (Oprah’s hometown). Last year, the city had 500 black-on-black murders. When will Oprah talk about black racism and terror?
Peterson said successful blacks such as Winfrey, Obama and others “who race-bait are doing a disservice to the black community.”

Rick Warren Tweets And Whines

1Jo 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Rom 16:17 Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. 18 For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

The problem that caught the attention of some from Rick Warren's Facebook was this:

RickWarrenRick Warren
Imputation is 1sided but fellowship with Christ is 2sided.Koinonia means PARTICIPATION! God want your passion, not passivity
6 September
But as usual, Warren doesn't see the problem but some like Daniel Chew and Discern The Times have. Moreover Warren continues to tweet horribly unbiblical ideas (they aren’t cute, pithy, or helpful). Here are more recent tweets:

RickWarrenRick Warren
A"friend"who constantly attacks the errors of others will eventually get to yours."Dont associate with an angry man"Pr22:24
29 Aug via web
Twisting Scripture, he uses it to play the victim game. Attacking the error of a public teacher (who LOVES to tweet his error and arrogance) isn't about anger, its about Truth. However, righteous anger is indeed right as Jesus and James and Paul clearly demonstrates in Scripture. We SHOULD get angry as a clearly false teacher, a wolf in sheep's clothing like Warren. If there's a time to get angry, THIS SHOULD BE IT. What sheep is called to embrace a wicked wolf who's about to shred the sheep? This is where we should "be angry and not sin". If we love God we will love what He loves and hate what He hates. A wolf doesn't get it. He can't.
Psa 119:53 Hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked, who forsake Your law.
John 7:24 Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment."
Is. 8 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.
2Co 11:4 For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.
Twitter is Rick’s Turn To Mock:

RickWarrenRick Warren
@BurkParsons Burk I ask myself: Would I rather be attacked for praising a Christian brother or praised for attacking one?
7 September
But what does he do? Praise his critics or attacks them?

RickWarrenRick Warren
On busy days with mtg after mtg, reading goofy remarks from critics on my phone makes me LOL.Then staff insist I read them aloud!
6 September
Yes nothing hypocrisy like publicly insulting one of your critics with your staff. That reeks of “praise” doesn’t it? I’d say no. It reeks of hypocrisy. Then again that’s Tricky Warren’s M.O. on Twitter.
Here’s more:

RickWarrenRick Warren
Wise leaders absorb the pain, refusing to retaliate against opposition even tho they have the power & means to hurt back.
9 September
Yet he publicly scoffed his critics in his hypocrisy –Twitter is his playground to get back at them. So by his own definition, he’s not wise himself, nor does he “absorb the pain”. (One grows tired of the drama he brings, as if he has any pain from his critics. No, he calls them "goofy" and laughs at them.)

RickWarrenRick Warren
Which pleases Jesus? Standing WITH saved brothers I disagree with or standing AGAINST them over matters, methods and styles?
7 September [emphasis, origina]
The questions arise, given Warren’s false teaching, is which Jesus is he referring to? The Roman Catholic one? The Mormon one? The Muslim One? And just who is he referring to by “saved brothers” with whom he stands but might disagree? And disagree about what? Doctrine matters and faith along with it defines whether a person is in the Truth or not . He’s held hands with many who are NOT Christians, nor does he have the Gospel that saves or the Jesus that saves. His continued error earns continued assault on such nonsense that he feels he can share on Twitter. I mean, don’t sit there and tweet hypocrisy and error and then whine when others demolish what you wrote by shedding the light of Scripture on it.

RickWarrenRick Warren
Wherever there is love, there is light and liberty.
7 September
What happened to Truth? True agape love is based upon biblical Truth. 1Cor. 13:6 "Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth." He doesn't delight in Truth because he isn't in it. His gospel of social justice merely condemns him according to Gal. 1:7-8. He's a universalist, inter-faith teacher who prays in the name of a Muslim prophet who hates the cross of Christ Jesus. For specifics go here.
True biblical liberty is in light of Bible doctrine (see Romans 1-14). He can’t get doctrine right but wants the liberty and “love” to continue tweeting it without accountability. He clearly denies absolute and total depravity (see his 2008 Beliefnet interview for example), yet wants to jump to Romans 14 about liberty? You can’t get to chapter 14 without FIRST dealing with Total Depravity and the doctrine of Justification in chapters 1-8! Doctrine is not placed into Romans 14 or 1Cor. 8 for that matter. Doctrine isn’t optional as he continually suggests (see his PDL book around p. 33-35 for one example). Romans 1-11 is pure doctrine, and ch. 12-16 is practice. Rom. 14 is about that which is NOT doctrinal, that is, matters of conscience, which is NOT where God places doctrine. Rick does though, to his condemnation.1 John 3:18 "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in TRUTH."

RickWarrenRick Warren
Everything changes except the nature of God and the nature of man.
7 September
Another example of why Warren continues to get demolished (2 Cor. 10:5) when he arrogantly tweets such nonsense.
Gal 6:14 But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Gal 6:15 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
By the way, his god does change--his god has plans B,C, etc. His god is NOT thrice holy and absolutely sovereign over the entire creation.

Warren in his 2008 interview with beliefnet:"No body works correctly – we all have problems with our bodies. The weather doesn’t work correctly – tornados and hurricanes and stuff like that. It’s the result of living on a broken planet. That’s why we’re to pray “Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven” ‘cause in heaven it’s done perfectly...God’s will is not done most of the time on earth. When people go, “oh, that hurricane must have been God’s will” – baloney! That wasn’t God’s will. God’s will is not done most of the time. If I go out and get drunk and run over a pregnant mother and kill her and her baby, that’s not God’s will, that’s my will." ~Rick Warren

Psa 148:7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps, 8 fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word!
Isa 46:10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, 'MY counsel SHALL STAND, and I WILL ACCOMPLISH ALL my purpose,' 11 calling a bird of prey from the east, THE MAN OF MY COUNSEL from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.
Ps. 33: 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him. 9 For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm. 10 The LORD foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. 11 But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.

Personality shapes theology. The more profound the impact, the more vehemently it's denied.
5 Sep via web
Scripture shapes theology, not personality. It is Scripture that conforms us to the image of Christ.
Joh 17:17 "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth."
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

This passage of Scripture where Jesus is teaching the disciples to not be like the Pharisees is very applicable to Warren:

Mat 6:1 "Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. 2 "So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 3 "But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. 5 "When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full."

The thing is, the reward such hypocrits get isn't good, its fair. That is to say, the applause of men and damnation of their souls. Social justice doesn’t help the eternal soul. His pathetic plans and destiny ideas are nothing but carnal doctrines of demons slapped over with Christianese. And who’s aided and abetted him? John Piper. Piper is guilty of treason against the King of kings for fellowship and welcoming a false teacher.
2Jn 1:9 Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting;11 for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.
Spurgeon's reply to his critics (and this is just as true for those of us who have sounded the alarm both on Rick Warren and John Piper:

"In The Sword and the Trowel for the present month Mr. Spurgeon gives no uncertain sound concerning departures from the faith. His exposure of the dishonesty which, under the cover of orthodoxy, assails the very foundations of faith is opportune in the interests of truth. No doubt, like a faithful prophet in like evil times, he will be called a 'troubler of Israel,' and already we have noticed he has been spoken of as a pessimist; but any such attempts to lessen the weight of his testimony are only certain to make it more effective. When a strong sense of duty prompts public speech it will be no easy task to silence it.
"The preachers of false doctrine dislike nothing more than the premature detection of their doings. Only give them time enough to prepare men's minds for the reception of their 'new views,' and they are confident of success. They have had too much time already, and any who refuse to speak out now must be held to be 'partakers of their evil deeds.' As Mr. Spurgeon says, 'A little plain-speaking would do a world of good just now. These gentlemen desire to be let alone. They want no noise raised. Of course thieves hate watch-dogs, and love darkness. It is time that somebody should spring his rattle, and call attention to the way in which God is being robbed of his glory and man of his hope.'

Emergents, The Elephant Room, The "Gospel" Coalition: consider the Jesus of Scripture That You Can't Ignore

"The Jesus You Can't Ignore" by John MacArthur

Excerpts:

Men and women who lack a biblical worldview tend to think of religion as the noblest expression of the human character. Popular opinion in the world at large has generally regarded religion as something inherently admirable, honorable, and beneficial.

In reality, no other field of the humanities—philosophy, literature, the arts, or whatever—holds quite as much potential for mischief as religion. Nothing is more thoroughly evil than false religion, and the more false teachers try to cloak themselves in the robes of biblical truth, the more truly Satanic they are.

Nevertheless, benign ....looking, suavely ....religious emissaries of Satan are ordinary, not extraordinary. Redemptive history is full of them, and the Bible continually warns about such false teachers—savage wolves in sheep’s clothing, “false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:13–15). Delivering his farewell speech at Ephesus, the apostle Paul told the elders of that young but already beleaguered church, “I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the f lock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves” (Acts 20:29–30, emphasis added). He was warning them that false teachers would arise not only from within the church, but that they would creep unnoticed into the leadership of the church (cf. Jude 4). It undoubtedly happened in Ephesus, and it has happened again and again in every phase of church history. False teachers robe themselves in the garments of God. They want people to believe that they represent God, that they know God, that they have special insight into divine truth and wisdom, even though they are emissaries of hell itself. In 1 Timothy 4:1–3, Paul prophesied that the church of the last days would be assaulted by false teachers with a Pharisaical approach to asceticism, which they would use as a cloak for licentiousness: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.”

Notice how Scripture emphatically says false teachers who like to wear a cloak of self ....righteousness and hide under the pretense of orthodoxy are evil, envoys of the devil, teachers of demonic doctrines. Again, nothing is more thoroughly diabolical than false religion, and we are warned repeatedly and explicitly not to take false teaching lightly because of its close resemblance to the truth...

Any literal shepherd tasked with feeding and leading a flock of lambs would be thought deranged if he regarded wolves as potential pets to be domesticated and amalgamated into the fold. Suppose he actively sought and tried to befriend young wolves, presuming he could teach them to mingle with his sheep—insisting against all wise counsel that his experiment might succeed, and if it does, the wolves will acquire the sheep’s gentleness and the sheep will learn things from the wolves, too. Such a shepherd would be worse than useless; he himself would pose an extreme danger to the flock.

Nearly as bad would be a shepherd whose vision is myopic. He has never seen a wolf clearly with his own eyes. He therefore believes the threat of wolves is grossly exaggerated. Even though his sheep keep disappearing or getting torn to shreds by something, he refuses to believe it is wolves that are harming his flock. He declares that he is tired of hearing shrill wolf ....warnings from others. He begins telling the story of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf ” to everyone who will listen. Finally concluding that other people’s “negativity” toward wolves poses a greater danger to his flock than the wolves themselves, he takes out his reed and plays a gentle tune to lull the lambs to sleep. Then, of course, there is the “hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep.” He “sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and f lees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling f lees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep” (John 10:12–13).

Self seeking hirelings, myopic shepherds, and
wannabe wolf tamers are all too prevalent in the church today. So are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Frankly, some of the postmodern lambswool costumes aren’t even the least bit convincing. But some pastors seem to have no hesitancy about unleashing these eager wolves among their flocks. Many are like the near ....sighted shepherd in my parable—convinced that warnings about the threat of wolves are potentially more dangerous than actual wolves.

Contemporary evangelicalism in general seems to have no taste whatsoever for any kind of doctrinal friction—much less open conflict with spiritual wolves. The Evangelical Manifesto I cited in the introduction to this book clearly reflects that point of view, expressing many more words of concern about evangelical public relations than it ever does for evangelical doctrinal soundness. The document confidently asserts that “the Evangelical message, ‘good news’ by definition, is overwhelmingly positive, and always positive before it is negative.”14 That’s a considerable overstatement—especially given the fact that Paul’s systematic outline of the gospel in Romans begins with the words, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven” (Romans 1:18) and then goes on for almost three full chapters expounding on the depth and universality of human “ungodliness and unrighteousness,” which is what unleashed God’s wrath in the first place. Only after he has made the bad news inescapable does Paul introduce the gospel’s good news. He follows the very same pattern in abbreviated form in Ephesians 2:1–10.

As we are going to see, Jesus Himself was not always positive before being negative.
Some of His longest discourses, including all of Matthew 23, were entirely negative.

The recent Evangelical Manifesto gives a nod of commendation to “those in the past for their worthy desire to be true to the fundamentals of faith,”
but then it seems to suggest that militancy in defense of the core truths of Christianity is always to be avoided. In fact, the main reason the manifesto gives for listing “conservative fundamentalism” as one of two opposite corruptions of the true Protestant spirit (the other being “liberal revisionism”) is that certain fundamentalists have resisted the liberalizing tendency with “styles of reaction that are personally and publicly militant to the point where they are sub ....Christian.”15.....

Jesus’ compassion is certainly evident in two facts that bracket this declamation. First, Luke says that as He drew near the city and observed its full panorama for this final time, He paused and wept over it (Luke 19:41–44). And second, Matthew records a similar lament at the end of the seven woes (Matthew 23:37). So we can be absolutely certain that as Jesus delivered this diatribe, His heart was full compassion.

Yet that compassion is directed at the victims of the false teaching, not the false teachers themselves. There is no hint of sympathy, no proposal of clemency, no trace of kindness, no effort on Jesus’ part to be “nice” toward the Pharisees. Indeed, with these words Jesus formally and resoundingly pronounced their doom and then held them up publicly as a warning to others.

This is the polar opposite of any invitation to dialogue. He doesn’t say, “They’re basically good guys. They have pious intentions. They have some valid spiritual insights. Let’s have a conversation with them.” Instead, He says, “Keep your distance. Be on guard against their lifestyle and their influence. Follow them, and you are headed for the same condemnation they are.”

This approach would surely have earned Jesus an resounding outpouring of loud disapproval from today’s guardians of evangelical protocol. In fact, His approach to the Pharisees utterly debunks the cardinal points of conventional wisdom among modern and postmodern evangelicals—the neo evangelical fondness for eternal collegiality, and the Emerging infatuation with engaging all points of view in endless conversation. By today’s standards, Jesus words about the Pharisees and His treatment of them are breathtakingly severe. Let’s turn back to the very beginning of Jesus’ ministry and observe how this hostility between Him and the Pharisees began and how it developed.

I think many readers will be surprised to discover that it was Jesus who fired the first shot. And it was a shockingly powerful broadside.
