Some Experts Are Too Smart To Be Deceived, So They Think

Confirming what I've said: he and James White and their followers consider themselves too smart to ever be deceived, much less wrong. Scripture says something about such arrogance and unteachability:

1Co 10:12  Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.

1/3 Brannon Howse’s rocket scientist says I've taken a wrong turn and am headed for “heresy”: Starts @ 21:11
Scripture tells leaders to be careful of themselves:
To the Ephesian elders Paul warned:
Act 20:28  Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.
Act 20:29  I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;
Act 20:30  and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.
Act 20:31  Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears.

1Ti 5:19  Do not admit a charge against an elder except on the evidence of two or three witnesses.
1Ti 5:20  As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.
1Ti 5:21  In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels I charge you to keep these rules without prejudging, doing nothing from partiality.

1Ti 4:16  Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

Jud 1:12  These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted;

2Pe 2:1  But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
2Pe 2:2  And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.
2Pe 2:3  And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Leaders can often be deceived and that is why they lead their churches into apostasy.

Also the unrepentant sin of favoritism is great among Johnson, White, Peters, MacArthur, etc and their cheerleaders. They fight for their man, friend,pastor, and get emotional and unreasonable about it instead of coming from a biblical stance without partiality.

Rom 2:11  For there is no partiality with God.

Gal 2:6 But from those who were of high reputation (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)--well, those who were of reputation contributed nothing to me.

1Ti 5:21  I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels, to maintain these principles without bias, doing nothing in a spirit of partiality.

Jas 2:9  But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
Jas 2:10  For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

Moreover, consider where Johnson's Post-modern pragmatism & bombastic words end. He is creating a schism based on personality as he tries desperately to redefine inter-faith dialogue and then say Jesus did it all the time, all the while still holding to "our church and I wouldn't do it". If Jesus did it all the time, then you SHOULD do it. But HE didn't. Evangelism isn't an inter-faith dialogue. IFD's purpose is to find common ground and that can't happen with Christians and unbelievers.

2Co 6:14  Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
2Co 6:15  What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?
2Co 6:16  What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, "I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Co 6:17  Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,

Pragmatism is unbelief in Scripture. Post-Modern thinking makes so many "nuances" and qualifications that one can't make a dogmatic, absolute stand on anything except the one who tells him he's wrong. Truth and goodness is seen in wolves and in error ("after all, who's perfect?" they say). This thinking paralyzes people to not take a hard stand against false teachers that seem ok but are in reality in error--in fact many might agree the man is in error on certain doctrines but will still offer such hypocrites as sources to go to for truth. God never tells us to spit out the bones because He demands faithful preaching of His Word (the meat), not truth and error mixed and just hope the sheep can discern what is error and "spit" it out. What a very low view of the believer, the child of the Most High God!

Glad to see the hypocrisy of Phil Johnson exposed, thank you.
