A Real Education Must Be Based On A Biblical Worldview

"An education without the Bible is useless" ~ Noah Webster.

"If you don't have a Christian education, are you even educated? Because if you don't have the right worldview, then you are skewed on all levels. If you don't see the world in all its demensions and in all its facets, and all aspects of life from a biblical view, then everything is skewed.

The only real education, the only consumate education, the only true education, is that kind of education where ever single catagory of education, every look at reality, takes into consideration the Author of that reality, Who is God, and what He has said about that reality. The truth about all things things rests in God. God had created this reality. It is the way God made it and it is the way He reveals it to be. So a Christian education simply grasps truth in its purest form and says 'this is really the way it is.'

The Bible is an inexhaustable resource of truth and when you relate the truth to every single discipline,it matches up perfectly. The Truth of the Bible and the way things really are in perfect harmony because God is the Author of both." ~Dr. John MacArthur, President of The Master's College and Seminary

Study Shows Public Schools Indoctrinate Even Christian Kids

Excerpts:

A researcher has revealed some disturbing trends regarding the sets of beliefs Christian students in public schools have about the most important issues in life.
Dan Smithwick is the founder and president of the Nehemiah Institute, a group that provides a biblical worldview testing and training service to Christian educators. He is the developer of what is called the "PEERS test," a tool to assess the worldviews of young people, and says the majority of public school students from evangelical Christian homes consistently score in the "socialist" category on the test.
According to Smithwick, this outcome should come as no surprise, considering the fact that secular humanists are currently shaping America. He notes that socialism, a political and economic philosophy that commonly emphasizes government control and redistribution of wealth over personal responsibility and private ownership, often goes hand in hand with secularist attitudes and a generally non-biblical worldview.

When it comes to major moral and social issues, the Nehemiah Institute spokesman contends there is a dramatic difference in thinking between students in public schools and those in Christian schools. This is because, while Christian school students are generally taught curricula predicated on a biblical worldview, students educated in public schools, even when they grow up in Christian homes, tend to a very high degree to adopt the non-biblical and socialistic worldviews of the secular humanists in control of their education.

Tell it to MIT, cambridge, Harvard, UClA etc... They should know :-)

True. Sadly, many of the professing "Christians" schools left the Bible behind in the dust and now have nonsense they elevate as "education"...Harvard, Princeton, USC, Baylor...were all Christian schools at one time. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Ugh. UCLA's seal's motto is "Let there be light" with either a book or the Bible...can't find out which. Anyway the motto is straight out of Genesis 1. Interesting but also sad.

The bible is a set of book. Nothing odd about it. In terms of knowledge conveyor it is also hopelessly outdated. And there is a reason why Harvard, MIT and UCLA is considered to be top universities around the world. They are simply very, very, good. And they have among the best teachers there is in the world, and they have contributed significantly to human growth, knowledge and success. In short they grew past the fairly primitive stage and developed. I would have jumped at the chance of studying there back in the days. Working with the brightest there is is always rewarding. Quite obviously there is something to learn from them...

Something,

You are quite wrong. Scripture can't be outdated because its eternal truth from the Eternal God of Truth. It spans thousands of years, dozens of cultures, with harmony on the Truth. No other book can boast such a claim. Scripture alone is God's revelation to man about Himself and the reality of the nature of man, his sin, his problems, his destiny, and the only hope to the solution which is Christ Jesus who is God over all and His salvation from the wrath to come.

Truth from God can't be outdated since its from God eternal. As Creator, He knows what is absolutely true and false, what is good and evil, what is helpful and needed versus what is harmful and leads to death.

2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

A fool is one who seeks for knowledge without consulting the God of Truth--seeking instead, with a darkened mind and heart in vain, the limited, fads of the day that claims to be knowledge but in reality is silliness and vanity.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
Rom 1:19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
Rom 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
Rom 1:21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
Rom 1:24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.

Eph 4:17 So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,
Eph 4:18 being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;
Eph 4:19 and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.
Eph 4:20 But you did not learn Christ in this way, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,

Those who fancy themselves or others as "bright" or "intellectual" yet deny the triune God of Scripture, are kidding themselves. The universities today are full of foolish and vain imaginations and so-called science..based in human secularism and liberalism. Education without Truth is secular indoctrination, useful for nothing of true value.
