I believe in God. I also believe God. “Discernment is not simply a matter of telling the difference between what is right and wrong; rather it is the difference between right and almost right.” -Charles Spurgeon. Scripture is my authority for all things regarding to life and godliness. 2 Cor.10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ

The Uncoverted In Churches
"To
introduce unconverted persons to the church is to weaken and degrade it; and therefore an apparent gain may be a real loss."
~John MacArthur
– Spurgeon
Teaching theology to a heathen will not bring him to faith in
Christ. He may learn the evangelical
vocabulary and verbally affirm the truth. He may accept the truth of a list of gospel facts. But
without a divine miracle to open his blind eyes and give him a new heart, he will only be a
theologically informed pagan, not a Christian.

Quote:
Why is it that people are trying so hard to get
nonbelievers to stay in their churches? There seems to be more effort in
keeping the uncommitted happy than to upholding holiness in the church. The
most persecuted people in the church, in my opinion and observation, are those
who are trying to hold the bride of Christ to a true biblical standard. What a
shame! Today pastors are centering more on getting people to come and stay in
their churches that they forget that God wants His bride holy. The church was
never intended to camp unbelievers. The church is designed by God as a place
where the church members (His body of believers) can get together to worship,
minister their spiritual gifts in order to edify and build up the rest of the
body, and where the godly Elders can feed the sheep the Word of God from the
pulpit so that they, having been fully equipped with the wisdom of the Word,
can go forth and live a victorious Christian life throughout the week and win
others to Christ. It is great to invite unbelievers to hear the true message of
salvation but to have them fit in, attempt to serve, and be permanent minglers
and loiterers within the church is to invite Satan’s people to infiltrate and
desecrate God’s bride. To welcome tares and wolves into the church is to
violate God’s purpose and design for His people.
“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified” (Act 20:28-32).
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (2Co 6:14-17).

Many churches are amusing the goats
instead of feeding the sheep as Spurgeon said. This is one of the worst
problems of the churches today: wrong ecclessiology. And as we know, wrong
doctrine leads to wrong practice. If we invite the world into the churches,
they become the focus, distractors, and the agent of cowardice in leadership
for fear of wanting to offend the offenders of God. No church discipline will
be practiced, either.

The Good Shepherd: Comfort For Christians
"I am the Good Shepherd; I know My sheep, and My sheep know Me. I lay
down My life for My sheep!" John 10:14-15
Jesus is the loving Shepherd of His chosen flock. He knows His sheep--and loves them too. He knows...
their names,
their persons,
their abodes,
their needs,
their enemies,
and their desires.
Their names are engraved on His heart, and on the palms of His hands. He came into the world that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. He gave His life as a ransom price for them. He says, "I lay down My life for My sheep."
He gathers them by His Gospel and Spirit--and feeds and enfolds them in little flocks below. He gathers the lambs with His arm and carries them in His bosom, and gently leads those that are with young. He feeds them in green pastures, and causes them to lie down beside the still waters. He protects them from the roaring lion, the raging bear, and the devouring wolf! He says, "I give them eternal life, and they will never perish--ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand!"
Jesus . . .
restores them when they wander;
heals them when they are sick;
cleanses them when they are filthy;
changes their pasture whenever they need it;
watches over them every moment; and
guards them day and night, so that no one may harm them.
He leads them--and they follow Him . . .
knowing His voice,
loving His person, and
obeying His commands.
He is now engaged in preparing pasture for them above--where the wicked cease from troubling, and where the weary shall forever rest! He will come again and receive them unto Himself, that where He is--His sheep may be also.
He loves them too well to forget them, and is too concerned for them to neglect them. He never takes His eyes off them! This tender Shepherd listens to the bleating of the feeblest of His lambs--and sympathizes with the weakest of His flock. He has promised to feed them, and lead them to fountains of living waters--and to cause sorrow and sighing to flee away forever. His presence shall be with them, when they pass through the dark valley of the Shadow of Death, and His rod and His crook shall comfort them.
His strength shall be made perfect in the weakness of His lambs,
His wisdom shall shine in the way He conducts them, and
His love will be displayed in every part of His conduct towards them!
Lambs of Jesus! Listen to your Shepherd's voice, keep close to your Shepherd's side, and aim to honor your dear Shepherd's name!

Free Will vs. God's Absolute Sovereignty
To argue that man is
a free moral agent and the determiner of his own destiny, and that therefore he
has the power to checkmate his Maker, is to strip God of the attribute of
Omnipotence. To say that the creature has burst the bounds assigned by his
Creator, and that God is now practically a helpless Spectator before the sin
and suffering entailed by Adam’s fall, is to repudiate the express declaration
of Holy Writ, namely, "Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee: the
remainder of wrath shalt Thou restrain" (Ps. 76:10). In a word, to deny
the sovereignty of God is to enter upon a path which, if followed to its
logical terminus, is to arrive at blank atheism. ~AW Pink

Antinomianism of Exodus International's president Alan Chambers
Here is the practical outcome of anti-Lordship/anti-nomianism re: homosexuality by so-called "Christian" leaders (particularly president of Exodus International, Alan Chambers) in the field of ministering to homosexuals who want to get out of that lifestyle:
Gagnon, author of The Bible and Homosexual Practice and a plenary speaker at Exodus's 2009 Freedom Conference, said that a June interview in The Atlantic shows that Chambers's views have veered. "Some of us choose very different lives than others," Chambers said of gay Christians in same-sex marriages. "But whatever we choose, it doesn't remove our relationship with God."
When asked to clarify whether or not that meant "a person living a gay lifestyle won't go to hell, as long as he or she accepts Jesus Christ as personal savior," he replied, "My personal belief is … while behavior matters, those things don't interrupt someone's relationship with Christ." In the course of the interview, Chambers made it clear that he believes that homosexual acts are sinful.
End quote.
Rom 1:25 because they exchanged the truth about God
for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is
blessed forever! Amen.26 For this reason God gave them up to
dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those
that are contrary to nature;27 and the men likewise gave up natural
relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men
committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty
for their error. 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge
God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
Jud 1:7 just as Sodom
and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual
immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a
punishment of eternal fire.
1Ti
1:10 the sexually immoral, men who practice
homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and
whatever else is contrary to
sound doctrine,
1Co 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
God's
condemnation of homosexuality is abundantly clear--He opposes it in every age.
- In
the patriarchs (Genesis 19:1-28)
Why does
God condemn homosexuality? Because it overturns God's fundamental design for
human relationships--a design that pictures the complementary relationship
between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:18-25; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:22-33).
The Gospel clearly calls people to repent of their sins. Chambers is denying this. Repentance isn't merely a confession of one's sin, but an action that requires turning in a different direction--here, from sin and to Christ Jesus.
Luk 6:46 "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell
you?
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?
Rom 6:11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, 13 and do not go
on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present
yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of
righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but
under grace. 15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it
never be! 16 Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for
obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of
obedience resulting in righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of
sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed,
18 and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

Peace
Psa
119:78 Let the insolent be put to shame,
because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your
precepts.
Integrity
1Pe 3:15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
1Pe 3:16 and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.
1Pe 3:17 For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.

The power of true religion! By Thomas Reade
The power of true religion is
so little felt by the bulk of professing Christians.
There are four evils which mark the decaying state of
Christians in general:
their love of the world;
their love of ease;
their fear of man;
their distrust of God's providence.
their love of the world;
their love of ease;
their fear of man;
their distrust of God's providence.
The New Testament believers were just the reverse of all this:
they despised the world, and its flattering allurements;
they took up the cross, and denied themselves;
they boldly confessed Christ, and suffered for His sake;
they trusted God for all things, and so took joyfully the the confiscation of your property.
they despised the world, and its flattering allurements;
they took up the cross, and denied themselves;
they boldly confessed Christ, and suffered for His sake;
they trusted God for all things, and so took joyfully the the confiscation of your property.
And what was the blessed fruit?
They abounded in consolation;
they grew in grace;
they shone as lights in the world;
they felt joy and peace in believing.
They abounded in consolation;
they grew in grace;
they shone as lights in the world;
they felt joy and peace in believing.
But now we see professing Christians, even many of whom we
charitably hope well . . .
languid in their graces,
timid in their confession,
afraid of consequences,
and fearful of trusting God.
languid in their graces,
timid in their confession,
afraid of consequences,
and fearful of trusting God.
Sad symptoms these, of spiritual decay!

I'm Really Thinking I was Born In the Wrong Generation.
I'm really thinking I was born in the wrong generation. I believe men should open every door, pull out every chair, foot the bill on everything, and show the utmost respect to the ladies in their lives. I believe a woman should carry herself with dignity, character, and show some resemblance of respect toward the man who is respecting her. I believe families should go to Church, help their neighbors, respect other's property, and pay their own way as much as physically possible. I believe friends should be selfless, caring, and always willing to stand side by side even through the hard times. I believe rapists, murderers, thieves, etc should be PUNISHED to the full extent of the law. I believe children should act like children and NOT be the head of the household getting everything they want and then some. I believe parents should be leaders and providers, and NOT best friends with their children. I believe America should stand for justice, and exemplify integrity among the nations. I believe our representative government should be just that: farmers, doctors, roofers, teachers, nurses, and so forth, and NOT career politicians who have never had to work or struggle for anything in their lives.
But, that's not the Nation I live in. Many men are physically and emotionally abusive, if they even hang around their wives/girlfriends and children. Women are all too often saturating themselves in any and every man who'll give them five minutes worth of attention on facebook or in a text message, and they could care less about the man who actually loves and provides for them. The church is rarely considered unless folks want to get married, or need a building for a family reunion. Families aren't families anymore. Mom lives with her boyfriend, Dad lives with his boyfriend, and Grandmaw is taking care of the children. Thieves, murderers, and rapists are just misunderstood and sick, and they just need a hug and a pill. Friends are for a large part a thing of the past because all anyone cares about is themselves. Children rule the home, they're rude and arrogant, they're drunk, pill heads, and pregnant by 14 and all the while driving a $30k car they never paid for, and talking on a $300 phone they never paid for. Our government is the most corrupt in it's history and politicians are only working for whoever gives them the biggest donation.
But through it all I'm so thankful I have a church family who I can count on, a true Friend that sticks closer than a brother, and that I'm a citizen of a much better Kingdom. Can't wait to get there. But until I go, God willing, I will tell the truth about sin and salvation so as many as possible can go with me.

True freedom, of course, isn't merely physical, political, or financial. True freedom is spiritual and ONLY found in the Person and work of the risen Lord Jesus Christ.
Joh 8:31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Rom 6:5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
Gal 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
1Pe 2:16 Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.

Tolerating Error Leads To Tolerating In Practice
We only progress in sound living as
we progress in sound understanding. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a
light unto my path.” Do not say of any error, “It is a mere matter of opinion.”
No man indulges an error of judgment, without sooner or later tolerating an
error in practice. Hold fast the truth, for by so holding the truth shall you
be sanctified by the Spirit of God. ~Spurgeon
