If the professing Christian attempts to win the culture by appeasing the culture, he/she will inevitably become a disciple of the culture.
In all grace friend. We must let it cut. The gentleness is in our heart's motive, even when our words seem harsh. We must reprove, rebuke, and exhort. We must resist the temptation to dull offenses based upon the perception of our hearers. God measures us by faithfulness to His word, with inevitable reproaches for identifying with Christ. Man measures our words by how they make him feel. We cannot please God and man simultaneously. I would say, brother, that we must pray that even when our words are harsh, our heart is not.

Well said! Expresses precisely what I believe.
