Steve Chalke: heretic claims biblical Christians are farther from the Gospel of Jesus than many Muslim beliefs

Heretic Steve Chalke has made the headlines again by saying,

“There are Christians who worship a militant, violent God,” said Steve Chalke, pastor and founder of the UK-based Oasis charity. “There are Christians who worship a God who doesn’t want women in leadership. There are Christians who worship a God who says if you are gay you will burn in hell. There are Christians who worship a God who does not believe in global warming.”
Chalke said that these aberrant forms of Christianity are further from the gospel of Jesus than many Muslim beliefs.
“I know some emphases in Islamic teaching come closer to the teaching of Christ and the Bible than some teaching in Western churches,” he said.

~ Breitbart
Elsewhere he has stated that the atonement is "cosmic child abuse" of Jesus and denies man's inherent sin nature from the fall of Adam. He also denies the inerrancy of Scripture.
I figured he then must also deny the Beginning, Genesis 1 and God's record of a literal 6 day Creation week. And sure enough, he does.

As reported by Ekklesia"My personal belief is that... those who wish to read into Genesis chapter one that God made the world in six days... are not being honest and scholarly. It won't be taught in the school because I think it's rubbish. It's a bizarre thing to claim the Bible suggests that. Genesis is saying that behind creation is a good God."

When people embrace sodomy as normal or bred through DNA, when they embrace other religions as having some truth, when they deny there is a clear and exclusive distinction between biblical Christianity and all other religions including the Roman Catholic Church, you can be sure the real issue starts from the Beginning.
Gen 1:3  Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4  God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5  God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day
Heb 1:2  in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. 3  And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Heb 11:1  Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2  For by it the men of old gained approval. 3  By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
Ultimately and primarily, denial of biblical doctrine such as mentioned above comes down to unbelief and echoing Satan's own words of rebellion in his attempt to attack God's Word and nature:

Gen 3:1  Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?"
