All is not well at Tullian Tchividjian's church, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church (formly D. James Kennedy's church before he suddenly passed away):

Time will reveal what's going on, however I think Tchividjian's view of church government not only is off, but has echoes of Rome's toward those within who was protesting its leadership. Interesting....

However, the rubber stamping of men who either have famous connections or claim TULIP or Reformed, is utterly shameful, when its clear that such men have shown a lack of biblical discernment.

Tullian Tchividjian Drops The "Gospel" Coalition Amid Sovereign Grace Ministries Sodomy Scandal
Tullian Tchividjian is slamming Sovereign Grace Ministries for its handling of a sex abuse scandal, while announcing this week that his participation with The Gospel Coalition will unexpectedly end on Thursday....
While the lawsuit was thrown out due to statute of limitations, Tchividjian said that unlike many of those connected to TGC who considered Mahaney a friend and claimed that he had "been the object of libel and even a Javert-like obsession by some," he saw the situation differently. In his eyes, given that Mahaney's brother-in-law and fellow former pastor at Covenant Life Church had confessed to knowing about sex abuse claims and withholding that information from police last week, the SGM pastor was guilty.
"Give me a break. These people, they're family. Of course he knew," Tchividjian told The Christian Post. "C. J. was, for many years, the micro-managing head of the organization and nothing happened under the umbrella of Sovereign Grace that he wasn't made aware of, so for anyone to say, 'Well he didn't know,' that's totally naive."
Tchividjian added that he was "pretty disturbed" when Don Carson, Kevin DeYoung, and Justin Taylor published a statement on TGC website in May 2013 which defended Mahaney, saying that it looked "like the good-old boys club covering their own."
"I thought it was premature. I thought it was insensitive. I communicated with the guys who wrote this statement that I was disappointed, that I thought it was unwise and premature and that they needed to clarify that their statement was not a statement from The Gospel Coalition, per se, but was their own personal statement," Tchividjian explained.
"There were some of us on the coalition, or who were associated with it, who didn't want to be associated with their defense of C. J.," he continued. "I've just been sort of disgusted by the whole thing."

It is a good ole boys' club. So is Together For the "Gospel" as is just about all of the coalitions, conferences, non-denom denoms, etc. And the disgusting thing is that everyone circles around each other to keep that fake unity facade going, instead of having integrity and loyalty to Christ and His sheep. How many people will continue to excuse Mahaney, Harris, and all of them over there by saying "well who's perfect?" They have been great vessels of God! Who are we to reject men who have done some great good?" Folks, listen. This issue is about covering up homosexual (sodomy) lust and abuse on little boys, and refusing to listen to those who were victims, UNTIL AFTER the jury's verdict! The elitists think they are the anointed of God and whom NO ONE should DARE question, challenge, or accuse. After all, they are theologians, pastors, authors, and conference speakers. This should ENRAGE the biblical Christian.

Tullian Tchividjian Is A Good Fit For Kennedy's Church But Not For God's Flock
News:
First of all, and I've seen this always proclaimed by both the voting congregation and the man who is candidating for the job of pastor: numbers dictate to them if its God's will.
This is a problem because its relying on sight not faith, on majority not Truth. When Moses Joshua was to lead the Jews back to the Promised land, there were twelve spies and only two came back with a report of assurance of overtaking the land. The rest thought it was impossible. See Numbers 13:30-31 and also chapter 14. Had Moses (and eventually Joshua) gone with today's "majority means God's will" view, he would have NEVER entered into that land as God commanded. Majority in this case was really the fear of man. As it is today. Security in numbers is NOT fear of God nor trust in HIM. This is absolutely the wrong way to determine God's will. After all His ways are narrow and the pool of biblical believers is few in number anyway.
Now, on to Tullian's hiring as senior pastor. I've noticed that Reformers have been enamoured with this grandson of Billy Graham. I find that interesting considering the man-centeredness that flows through that family's beliefs.
Consider these things:

Tim Keller shares the platform with Gary Lamb at Exponential 09: “Gary Lamb is on the record saying that one of his biggest regrets is that he didn’t club a church lady with a baseball bat, punch her husband in the face and set fire to the church organ.” –Slice of Laodicea
Go here to hear him say it. Note the background stage production (Las Vegas style). He calls the woman he hates “Lucifer” from his last church, blamed that church for almost divorcing, and was responsible for him hating Christians. Yup that’s the man to speak at this conference. NOT.

Members of a prominent Florida megachurch voted
overwhelmingly Sunday to call the Rev. William Graham Tullian Tchividjian to
serve as its new senior minister.
Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church members also agreed to merge with
Tchividjian’s New City Presbyterian Church in Margate and elected its officers
to serve the Fort Lauderdale congregation.
Tchividjian, a grandson of world renowned evangelist Billy Graham,
called Sunday “momentous and historic.”
“91% of the congregation voted to support the call,” he reported Sunday
in his church blog. “That is a much higher percentage than I anticipated given
the fact that this call involved a merger of two congregations.
“God made his will known with an exclamation point this morning,”
the 36-year-old minister exclaimed.

Tullian Tchividjian Says Forgiveness Isn't Dependent Upon Purity of One's Confession

A heart that does not *really* agree with God that one's sin *is* sin, is still in rebellion toward God and is still married to his sin. This is nothing but phariseeism. Mouthing the words, but the heart is far from God, still standing in pride and self-righteousness.
Rom 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
1Jn 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Psa 51:3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.

Of Conferences and Coalitions
Questions:
1.) Since when did we need a “Gospel Coalition” when churches were supposed to be doing the job? Disband. Shut down your Twitter. Go away.
2.) Why are international celebrity pastors of giant, jumbo, super, mega, giga churches in some far flung place the final word on things for Christians? What happened to Pastor Bob with a suit from Penney’s who drives a Dodge Caravan and loves his wife and kids? No “team”, no publicity shots, just Pastor Bob who cares and studies to prepare a good sermon on Sunday while praying for and serving his flock?
3.) Why in the name of common sense are these idiotic conferences being held every 2 weeks with the airbrushed Twittiots of the evangelical and Reformed world slobbering all over each other on stage? You look like pervs with your mutual pleasuring societies. Get a life. Get a job, guys. Nobody needs you and your latest book ghost written by some guy in his basement anyway. You can’t even protect kids in your churches from porno pervert pastors and you cover up for them for years when you do find out. You have NOTHING to say to me or my family.
4.) Why are people ripping the hair from each others heads over doctrines like “sanctification”? LOLOL! “I’m going to stab you with my Five-Point pitchfork. You’ve been spreading the leaven of LUTHER around. You must die!” Way to go, guys. Meanwhile you’re helping cover up sex abuse for one of your cronies. What doctrine justifies that again?
It’s all wrong. We don’t need Gospel Coalitions, multi-million dollar churches and Studly pastors of Great Fame. I’m turning it off. Shutting you out. You no longer exist to me. As a point of interest, none of my kids wants anything to do with it all. You’ve made yourself irrelevant, boys, your little celebrity machine that exists to keep itself going. Cash those checks, line up that next conference, plot that next stunningly profound tweet. Real Christians are out weeding their gardens, loving their neighbors and speaking out for the voiceless like the Savior did. The hypocrisy of the sanctification arguments is that their celeb buddy-pastors are living lives NOT sanctified nor becoming of a pastor. Moreover they argue about issues as if they are optional theories, not inspired Truth to be obeyed. With all these countless conferences (I've also grow irritated at them all), what stands clear is that they turn teachers/pastors into celebrities and they usurp the authority of the LOCAL church. I'm glad to see that others see it too.

Elyse Fitzpatrick Teaches Men And Promotes Heretics
It's not just Beth Moore that teaches men. It's also Elyse Fitspatrick. Anyone who is part of The "Gospel" Coalition as she is, must be rejected because that group is founded by heretic Tim Keller and promotes heresies.
