I believe in God. I also believe God. “Discernment is not simply a matter of telling the difference between what is right and wrong; rather it is the difference between right and almost right.” -Charles Spurgeon. Scripture is my authority for all things regarding to life and godliness. 2 Cor.10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ

Amazing Grace
"Amazing Grace" was written by John Newton in 1779. It reflects his salvation by Christ, recognizing that while he was part of the slave trade industry, he was truly the one enslaved to sin and its just wage of death, as an enemy of Christ. Once Jesus Christ regenerated him, he saw his total depravity before the thrice holy God and since that time, sought to live for Christ alone. In doing so, he tried to fight the slave trade for years.
This version in the video by Chris Tomlin has a slight change with the chorus, but still reflects the reality of what John Newton, and all true Christians know: that outside of Jesus Christ, we too, like the rest, were by nature children of wrath, enslaved to sin and death.
Until Christ made us free.
And now we live as HIS slaves, His children, His sons because of such great love He showed us while we were His enemies.
Rom 6:20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
Rom 6:21 Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.
Rom 6:22 But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
