"Humanity" The Great Sin Equalizer

In trying to control the outcome (that is, getting accepted and not rejected as an "extreme Christian"), many public teachers and organizations are rebuking and challenging Christians to change their rhetoric on homosexuality. But in doing so, they show their tolerance for what God is intolerant of.

By trying to soften the blow of the words Scripture uses, much less reflect the righteous wrath against sin, particularly that of sodomy, it portrays a "nicer" Christianity, one that isn't quite so offensive, while supposedly at the same time, "not compromising" ("polarizing, negative rhetoric".  It seems these folks think that, like the rest of the Post-Modern, godless world, talking and listening will help in understanding each side in order to get along.

The problem is that such a philosophy and worldview like that aren't even biblical. And they won't get along with God much less His faithful children who stand up for biblical Truth and thus against sin.

The Truth is a sharp sword: it cuts past the package, excuses, justifications, and goes straight to the heart of the matter.

Understanding sin must be straight from Scripture, not from someone trying to justify their sin. God has defined sin and has told us why people sin. It is up to biblical Christians to reveal that to those in darkness and proclaim to them the only way of dealing with their sin before a thrice holy triune God is through the biblical person and work of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. Of course, I say "biblical" because these liberal "Christians who seek to soften the blow of the truth against horrific sin, portray Jesus as far more tolerant of sin than the Jesus of Scripture. It is also up to the biblical Christian to rebuke those who claim the name of Christ yet try to soften the sin of sodomy.

Frankly, I'm sick of all the talk about talking things out.

The reality is that Scripture is one-sided on sodomy. It paints the correct picture of those engaged in that sin. It is condemned by God. God in no way gives tolerance to such an unnatural sin which is the result of hard hearts that reject Him.

As a matter of fact, it would do well for these "Christians" to see how God dealt with the likes of them; that is, the liberals of His day: the Pharisees.  He called them white washed tombs who where dead on the inside while trying to look clean on the outside; hypocrites; a brood of vipers, sons of the devil. Like the religious leaders of His day, today's Pharisees have a very LOW standard of holiness, excuse sin against God, and frankly have no love for the offense so many are making against HIM (versus a heart like King David in Ps. 139). They are not offended with what offends God. They don't bear the reproach that has fallen on God. They want to embrace the hostile world so they can like them, an perhaps in turn like their little effeminate, tolerant, unholy, easily controlled and manipulated "Jesus".

I'm tired of people wanting to equalize all sin when God does no such thing.

I'm tired of people making humanity the trump card that equalizes sin and demands respect for sodomy and its participants. The thing about "humanity" is that our human nature is dead in its sins and trespasses and is naturally hostile and rebellious against God (Rom. 1, 3, Eph.2). It is precisely because of man's sin that some choose sodomy. Respect for a person being a human being is limited in scope and application. I suggest reading the Old Testament and Revelation to see how much emphasis God places on these people He made in His image and whether that affected His judgement against them or deflected His holy wrath.

Gen 18:20  Then the LORD said, "Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave
Jude 1:7  just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

Ignoring the heinous crime of sodomy which is ultimately against God because it's His law that is being violated, professing Christians minimize the gravity and the consequence of certain sins.

As I have posted previously,

Quote:

Why, then, have homosexual interpretations of Scripture been so successful at persuading so many? Simple: people want to be convinced. Since the Bible is so clear about the issue, sinners have had to defy reason and embrace error to quiet their accusing consciences (Romans 2:14-16). As Jesus said, "Men loved the darkness rather than the Light, [because] their deeds were evil" (John 3:19-20).
As a Christian, you must not compromise what the Bible says about homosexuality--ever. No matter how much you desire to be compassionate to the homosexual, your first sympathies belong to the Lord and to the exaltation of His righteousness. Homosexuals stand in defiant rebellion against the will of their Creator who from the beginning "made them male and female" (Matthew 19:4).
Don't allow yourself to be intimidated by homosexual advocates and their futile reasoning--their arguments are without substance. Homosexuals, and those who advocate that sin, are fundamentally committed to overturning the lordship of Christ in this world. But their rebellion is useless, for the Holy Spirit says, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; cf. Galatians 5:19-21).

End quote.
So if God is so clear on homosexuality, there is no way to accept it on any level, but that's what the liberals are doing as they secretly sneak in among us and then redefine things by trying to cloud the issue regarding sodomy.  They try to use "science", psychology, and even equalize the unnatural passion and lust of sodomy as if its like any other sin. That way they can play the victim and say it's merely a struggle like, say, drinking (eternal victimhood is a play right out of psychology's playbook---you never have victory over the sin or its desire but rather always struggle, thus always "recovering" but never recovered). The sins of Sodom and Gommorah were sexual in nature and therefore earned God's special judgement. If He destroyed not only those two cities, but the surrounding ones because of such heinous sexual immorality, then how in the WORLD can "Christians" think He's any less angry and less holy now with sodomy? Both the Old and New Testaments show God's absolute consistency regarding sexual immorality. Or do these "Christians" fancy themselves more tolerant and "loving" than the HOLY HOLY HOLY God of Israel Himself?
If liberals can't get sodomy into the churches by full frontal attack, they'll do it by  a more subtle means--incrementalism, psychology,  the great sin-equalizer, and victimization.
End quote.
