Btw, the ignorance that Brown claimed re: Hinn is about as believable as Piper's claim of ignorance of Rick Warren. And another thing, as Brown mystically tweeted that he had some inside knowledge about Hinn, so we see the same with Piper and Driscoll--the whole, "I have a special relationship with them which means I know they are good men" syndrome (Piper is a "mentor" of Driscoll, you see)--a conversation stopper of sorts. And when caught by Justin Peters on Brown's radio show, the "I'll investigate it" claim by Brown was given--the exact same thing Piper did with Warren, which led to Piper's continued and defiant defense of the heretic.
Here's the thing: Hinn used Brown like Warren uses Piper: to gain acceptance into an otherwise unwelcome group of professing Christians. Get a "credible" man, someone considered "fair and balanced", "thoughtful", "educated", and well known, to align with you, stand next to you, share the pulpit with you, defend you, and you're in.
It's that devious and that dark.
We aren't talking about novices with either Brown nor Piper. In fact, this seems to be the MO of the highly educated "leaders" in professing Christianity.
Brown is now an official defender of Hinn, just as Piper is an official defender of Warren.
Both Hinn and Warren are wolves and false teachers.
Both Brown and Piper are useful idiots (in the sight of the false teachers).
And all four men are condemned by God according to Gal. 1:7-9 and 2John 9-11.
