World Politics got its data most updated info from U.S. Energy Information Administration's most recent
data on U.S. oil imports including 2012:
Of note:
Syria
for 2012- NONE. In 2011 we only got 3,403
Egypt: for 2012: 11,456
Libya: 2012: 22,281
Canada: 2012: 1,081,365
Mexico: for 2012: 377,350
OPEC: for 2012: 1,557,591
Non-OPEC for 2012: 2,320,659
I post this because I find our continual interference with Muslim countries to not have reliable motives. Islam will never accept a Western worldview because of its very nature. Why should we send Americans to get mixed up with a Muslim civil war in Egypt, Syria, and Libya? Money? Oil? Not democracy. That attempt has failed repeatedly from Egypt, to Iraq, and even Turkey.
