Often the criticism of a president's vacation is partisan in nature, which is why White House spokesman Jay Carney dismissed a question about it when asked whether Obama's vacation was too extravagant.
"I would just check what they said six years ago," he said, referring to a period when a Republican president, George W. Bush, was in office.
Bush, who vacationed at his Texas ranch while in office, was not a fan of the Massachusetts island of the liberal affluent, saying it was out of step with everyday Americans.
"Most Americans don't sit in Martha's Vineyard, swilling white wine," he once said.

Let's recall mega millionare David Schulte at whose house the Obamas will be vacationing. Schulte is one of Chicago's wealthiest financiers who "earned his money in much the same way the demonized Mitt Romney did: through corporate restructuring and rescuing debt-burdened companies."
And how does Obama treat the residents of Martha's Vineyard? Well that's something ole Reuters left out. But WS didn't:

As I was reading this, the first thing that popped into my head was how it sounded so much like the Clintons (they despised the military too, and showed it by their lack of respect towards them) and then reading on I see the Clintons are mentioned. I can attest to the fact that the Clintons treated those who served them horribly, because I personally know someone who worked and spoke to a couple of them.
