Anne Rice Proves She Wasn't A Christian

The "Christian"Post reports Anne Rice, of Interview With A Vampire infamy, has left "Christianity".

The next day she concluded that she was “out” and announced her refusal to be anti-gay, anti-feminist, anti-artificial birth control, anti-Democrat, anti-secular humanism, anti-science, and anti-life in the name of Christ.

In the name of Christ, I quit Christianity and being Christian,” she concluded Wednesday.
End quote.

The thing is, Rice was never a Christian. She grew up Roman Catholic, turned to Atheism, then returned to Catholocism. What she left was her Roman Catholic church, not Christianity. Had she truly been saved, she would have professed faith in the biblical Lord Jesus Christ and she would not have turned away from Christianity. A true Christian is IN Christ and will not leave Him nor biblical Christianity.

1Jn 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.

No, she just wants to keep her liberalism, which is diametrically opposed to all she refuses to reject: homosexuality, feminism, secular humanism, Democratic party (see their platform for their unbiblical views), and science (aka secular humanism/evolution).

Why did anyone think she became a Christian, when she made it clear that she went back into the RCC? The fact she proclaims a plethora of anti-biblical values proves that those of us who didn't buy her claim were right to begin with.

I wonder, though, if George Barna, one of her biggest supporters, will continue to endorse her? Probably.

Hmmmm.... I suppose it was talk such as that that got her to reject the label...
