Psychiatrist: don't use words like "lazy"

Breitbart reports:

A leading psychiatrist has identified six words people should not use, because they are “accompanied by feelings of moral judgment, hatred and utter rejection,” Business Insider revealed Monday...

“Words like selfish, stupid, spoiled, and lazy” can be more damaging than we realize, the article warns.
“These are dividing words, misunderstanding concepts, rather than language which joins and deepens mutuality and self-relationship,” Brenner asserts, and their use constitutes “an act of linguistic violence.”
The word “lazy,” for instance, “suggests there’s something fundamentally wrong with you if you can’t work hard,” Brenner writes, while “the answer may simply be to give yourself smaller goals.”
End quote.

This demonstrates why Scripture prohibits going to the world for wisdom. Psychology is deadly. It feeds the monster of Self. It calls sin "good" as it's proponents (who are usually really messed up themselves) justify sin. They refuse to acknowledge that such sinful behavior affects others around them. Indeed often, psychologists blame others for the sin of their customer, which is why we've got bad parenting, bad schools, and a bad judicial system (all of which have been infested by psychology).
I find Brenner's thinking in his argument false because he's claiming that the use for the word "lazy" suggests you can't work hard and thus something's wrong with you. Actually that's not what the word suggests. It means you CAN work hard but REFUSE to do so, and THAT'S the fundamental problem.

Using proper words, the ones he doesn't want used, is exactly why we should use them--they rightly identify the problem and therefore the solution. If a person physically can't work, they aren't being lazy, they are handicapped or disabled. So a lazy person isn't incapable of work, it's just that they don't want to work and what's the result of that? Others are impacted--their schedules, time, energy, focus. People are put out or have to carry more of a burden because the person is lazy--this is the problem. God calls it sin. God demands that each man work. A productive individual makes for a productive family and society. A lazy one does just the opposite (imagine a lazy military or police or husband?).

Pro 18 :9  Whoever is slack in his work is a brother to him who destroys.

Pro 19:15  Laziness casts into a deep sleep, And an idle man will suffer hunger.

Pro 6:6  Go to the ant, O sluggard, Observe her ways and be wise,
Pro 6:7  Which, having no chief, Officer or ruler,
Pro 6:8  Prepares her food in the summer, And gathers her provision in the harvest.
Pro 6:9  How long will you lie down, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep?
Pro 6:10  "A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest"--
Pro 6:11  And your poverty will come in like a vagabond, And your need like an armed man.

1Th 4:11  and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you,
1Th 4:12  so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.
2Th 3:8  nor did we eat anyone's bread without paying for it, but with toil and labor we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you. 9  It was not because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves an example to imitate. 10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat
Not only that, but a lazy person is an idle person and an idle person starts to get involved in affairs not their own.

1Ti 5:13  And at the same time they also learn to be idle, as they go around from house to house; and not merely idle, but also gossips and busybodies, talking about things not proper to mention.
1Ti 5:14  Therefore, I want younger widows to get married, bear children, keep house, and give the enemy no occasion for reproach;
1Ti 5:15  for some have already turned aside to follow Satan.

So instead of listening to demonic psychology, we should abhor & reject it completely:

Jas 3:14  But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.
Jas 3:15  This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.
Jas 3:16  For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.

Eph 4:17  This I say therefore, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,
Eph 4:18  being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;
Eph 4:19  and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality, for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness
Eph 4:20  But you did not learn Christ in this way,
Eph 4:21  if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus

Jas 4:4  You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Brenner said not to use the six words (lazy, spoiled, stupid, selfish, bored, and hypocrite) "because they are “accompanied by feelings of moral judgment, hatred and utter rejection" according to Breitbart's report. But Brenner is himself making moral judgments makes him a hypocrite.  Also we are indeed to make judgments on morals or immorality. That's how one deals with behavior, after all. This is common sense. It boggles the mind that someone so educated is so utterly foolish and void of common sense.  Psychology makes people become drama queens, too. I mean, to be rightly called "lazy" is really going to make someone feel like another person hates them and are totally rejected? Really? That's quite a jump, especially in regard to parenting. One can see Brenner's inner teenager revealed here. Correction of bad behavior is the job of every parent and teacher IF they want a productive, less-selfish individual in their community.
