Does Your Heart STAND In Awe of God's Word?

We can scarcely conceive of anything more grieving to the Holy Spirit — than the manner in which some people deal with His inspired Word. Nor is the low spirituality which this solemn trifling with the Bible betrays, less painful.

A heavenly mind will guard the sacredness and purity of God's Word with holy jealousy! How can it be otherwise? To the Bible, the instrumentality of God's truth — the believer is indebted for his quickening, for his sanctification, and for his comfort! To trifle, then, with that holy Word, to quote it flippantly, to speak of it irreverently, to jest with it profanely — would seem a crime from which a mind stored with its precious treasures, and imbued with its hallowed spirit — would recoil with holy dread!

Oh, beware, reader, how you sport with, or trifle with — God's holy Scriptures! Oh, it is a fearful thing to quote with sportive lip, to touch with unhallowed hands — the holy Word of God!

"My heart stands in awe of Your Word! I rejoice in Your Word like one who discovers a great treasure!" Psalm 119:161-162

~Octavius Winslow

Psa 138:2  I will bow down toward Your holy temple And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name.

Your heart cannot stand (to remain, unmoved) in awe (humbled before God) of God's Word if you "appreciate" those things that manipulate, change, move around, soften, or trifle with the Scriptures. If you like the abominable "Son of god" or "Passion" movies, then your heart is not standing in awe of HIS Word which both movies mock and deplore.

The same can be said for anyone who tries to marry evolution, psychology or Charismaticism's metaphysics, or Arminian's semi-pelagianism and "free" willism to Scripture. All these things sully, attack, and treat lightly the Holy Spirit's Word. Or do you not know with Whom you trifle? It is the Living God! HE holds HIS Word above all else. Why don't you?

Islam Uses Terror to Get Non-Muslims To Submit

Welcome to Islam where non-Muslims (Coptics are not Christians) are, by THREAT dictated to by Muslims to practice their non-Islamic religion with great limitations (that is, they aren’t really allowed to practice their religion). Only cowards would agree with such a terrorist threat.
 Quote:
For the first time in many generations, a dhimma(protection agreement) was signed between the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) – an Islamist branch of Al-Qaida – and leaders of Raqqa’s several thousand Christians. Members of ISIS gave the latter three options: accepting the agreement, converting to Islam, or risking death.
According to the 12 clauses in the accord, the Christians will commit to pay a twice-yearly poll tax of “four gold dinars” – which at today’s rate, comes to about $500 per person – with the exception that members of the middle class will pay half this amount, and the poor will pay a quarter of it, on condition they do not conceal their true financial situation.
The agreement permits the Christians to follow their religious practices, but they are prohibited from building new churches or rebuilding destroyed ones.
Furthermore, the accord states that Christians may not prevent members of their community from embracing Islam if they so desire. They are forbidden from bearing arms, from engaging in commerce involving pork with Muslims, and from acting against Muslim interests – for example, by giving shelter to spies or persons wanted by ISIS. Moreover, if Christians learn of a plot against the Islamic State, they must report it.

Sam Sobor Is Right

Actress Sam Sorbo, the wife of “Hercules” actor Kevin Sorbo, slammed the American education system during an interview with Dana Loesch that aired Friday.

The homeschooling mother remarked passionately: “You people who send your kids to school, you have no idea what the schools are doing to their fresh little brains, in brainwashing them into this progressive, liberal — it’s antithetical to America, the agenda that they’re being indoctrinated with.”

“As naive as I was back then, I thought, ‘Well if I write about school, that’s not political!’ But of course school is the most political, because that’s where the progressive agenda is coming out the strongest and the hardest,” Sorbo remarked.

~Excerpts from The Blaze

She's absolutely right.

To say that sodomy is sinful, to say that illegal aliens should return to their own country, to demand all foreigners to obey our laws, to not give money, tuition, education, medical care, or driver's licences to illegals, to have the death penalty, to bring a Bible to school and read it, to pray, to share one's faith, to oppose political correctness, to say America was founded in great part to Christians who came here for religious freedom, to say that we are (were, now) a great nation, to say capitalism works and communism does not, to refuse to do business with sodomites because it goes against the Bible, to question Obama's policies or dare to say he's wrong and even in sin, to declare that there is absolute right and wrong......is to be a blasphemer in the eyes of the liberals worthy of prison, loss of a job, and loss of constitutional rights.

Such views will not be accepted in school, in the work place, in businesses, in churches, in bakeries, in hair salons,in photography studios, on the streets, on tv, etc.

To dare to disagree with liberalism is to incur their hostile wrath and lawsuits, and have your constitutional rights taken away.

John Dewey would be proud.

I am convinced that the battle for humankind's future must be waged and won in the public school classroom by teachers that correctly perceive their role as proselytizers of a new faith: a religion of humanity that recognizes and respects the spark of what theologians call divinity in every human being...The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict between the old and new — the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith of humanism, resplendent with the promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of 'love thy neighbor' will finally be achieved." — excerpt from an article by John Dunphy titled "A Religion for a New Age," appearing in the January/February 1983 issue of The Humanist Magazine.

In so many words, the above excerpt reveals the objective of modern, "'progressive' education." (Please note the word "proselytizers," and then consider the abject scorn and condemnation against those who would even attempt to "proselytize" the faiths of either Judaism or Christianity in a public school classroom!) At some point between the late 1940's and the mid 1950's, the doctrines of progressive education achieved dominance in a majority of America's public schools and universities. The fundamental dogma of this movement is probably best defined as a mixture of collectivist (i. e., socialistic, even Marxist) political theory and Freudian/Jungian psychology. The goal of the progressive education movement was (and remains today) to subvert American founding ideas and principles and to replace them with secular and collectivist directives and "values." It was (and is) a permissive, "Unitarian Universalist" approach to education....

The chief architect (often called the "father") of the progressive education movement was John Dewey (1859-1952). Dewey contributed to and is a signatory of the original Humanist Manifesto. (Seewww.americanhumanist.org/about/manifesto1.html.) As such, Dewey clearly rejected the notion of a Supreme Creator and Author of Law and heartily embraced the ideas of relativism and global government. He was highly influential in the establishment of the modern National Education Association (NEA), and he all but single-handedly set the ultra-liberal standard to which the NEA adheres to this day.

Liar, Liar: transgender lied to police about being sexually assaulted

"A transgender teenager who said he was beaten and sexually assaulted in a California school bathroom recanted the story, police said Tuesday."
The 15 year old admitted she made up the whole thing.
She's a  liar and should be prosecuted for lying to the police, filing a false statement, and claiming sexual assault.
What audacity to have no fear of authority.
That's not the first time a sodomite lied about being a victim:
In 7-3-12:
(DAILYMAIL) — A lesbian student has been kicked out of college and arrested after it emerged she was behind a string of anti-gay messages slipped under her dorm room door, police said.
After the notes were found in Alexandra Pennell’s room at Central Connecticut State University in March, hundreds came out in support of the student at a campus rally against hate crimes.
But when police hid a camera along the hallway outside her room, they allegedly caught her leaving the notes herself – and she admitted she had written them to get the attention of her roommate.

Wow the Bullying & Hypocrisy: Sodomy Hairdresser Refuses Business With Gov. Who Doesn't Align With Him Politically

New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez needs a new hairdresser — or a new stance on gay marriage.
Martinez was recently dropped by her hair stylist, Antonio Darden, who is gay.

Darden told a local news station that he cut the governor’s hair three times, but won’t do it again as long as she continues to oppose gay marriage.

~NY Daily News

They sued when a Christian bakery refused to make a cake for a sodomite union party, yet not a word to demand a sodomite to do the same.

Sodomites activists  must be consistent or be silent.

They can't demand one business to go against their religious convictions and yet have a sodomite not be held to the SAME STANDARD and be forced to do business with a governor just because she opposes sodomite "marriage".

Just a week ago or so, a sodomite bar said they refuse to do business with anyone who won't support sodomite unions.

Whatever happened to "tolerance" and a two-party (or more) system?

Sodomite activists are absolute HYPOCRITES and can't handle anyone telling them they are wrong, much less not supporting their perversion.

That Ellen Degeneres "Selfie" Was Totally Pre-planned As A Product Placement Ad

Selfie? No, just another ad...

Quote:

While the stunt felt spontaneous, it wasn't entirely unplanned. As part of its sponsorship and ad pact for the Oscars with ABC, the TV network airing the show, Samsung and its media buying firm Starcom MediaVest negotiated to have its Galaxy smartphone integrated into the show, according to two people familiar with the matter. ABC is a unit of Walt Disney Co....

Samsung gave ABC smartphones to use during the broadcast and was promised its devices would get airtime, these people said.

The origin of the "selfie" shot was a little different. Ms. DeGeneres, in the days leading up to the broadcast, decided she wanted to take "selfies" during the show and ABC suggested she use a Samsung since it was a sponsor, another person familiar with the matter said.
During rehearsals Samsung executives trained Ms. DeGeneres on how to use the Samsung Galaxy, two people familiar with the matter said.

Don't you just love "real" t.v.?

Selfie Scriptura: planet Me

1. Like taking a picture of themselves, selfies believe they have received individualized and intimate communication(s) from God as stimulated by and resulting from their pietistic and personal contemplation and/or imagination. To validate that the messages have been received from the divine realm, the selfie links their revelations to scattered Bible references, most often irrelevant, to the messages both received and then transcribed. This linking tactic makes their novel communications more palatable and marketable to other members of the “selfie-needy” pan-evangelical kingdom.

 2. Along a selfie’s spiritual journey a special visitation of receiving divine words that transport the hearer to higher realms of glory, thus affirming their personal progress towards deification....

Sola Camougflaga: reciting "Sola Scriptura" in order to gain access with false teaching

1. The multifarious recitation of the phrase Sola Scriptura(Latin: “only scripture”) by religious leaders, priests, pastors, ministers, speakers, teachers or professors as a shibboleth[2]for gaining access into and acceptance by the evangelical subculture. This recitation of “Sola Scripture” by the religious elites serves to disarm mainstream evangelicals into believing that all their teachings reside in harmony with and in fidelity to the Protestant Bible when in fact, upon closer scrutiny, they do not (See Galatians 2:4.).

2. Uttering the Reformation saying (e.g., Sola Scriptura) to camouflage heretical teachings (i.e., human opinions) which in fact, deny, degrade and/or distort biblical truth. Uttering this “catch phrase” by an elite cadre of leaders-teachers becomes a crafty stratagem by which unsuspecting and otherwise naïve listeners and readers will accept anything they say to be biblical when in fact it might not be.

3. Employing the mantra Sola Scripture in order to get away with hiding, concealing, masking and obfuscating what would otherwise be plain biblical truth.....

Exactly what I've been saying!

You Can Be An Illegal Alien In America And Get Assylum, Free Medical Care, Education, and a Driver's License, But No Protection for Law-Abiding Family Seeking Actual Political Assylum

The United States Supreme Court has denied review in the appeal of the Romeike parents, German homeschoolers who sought and were granted asylum in the U.S. to avoid losing custody of their children in their country, where homeschooling is largely illegal. The Obama administration appealed the decision of the immigration judge who granted the family asylum.

The Obama administration’s appeal of the 2010 decision that granted the family asylum based on religious freedom grounds prevailed on two levels of appeals. The Supreme Court had ordered the U.S. Solicitor General to respond to the Romeikes’ petition.
“We will pursue changes to the asylum law in this country to insure that religious freedom is once again vigorously protected in our policy,” Farris said. “I am just glad that the Pilgrims did not face this anti-religious policy when they landed at Plymouth Rock.”
“The United States should be a place of asylum for those who are persecuted because of their decision to follow their core religious beliefs,” Farris said. “Parents, not the government, decide first how children are educated. Germany’s notorious persecution of families who homeschool violates their own obligations to uphold human rights standards and must end.”
Germany’s highest court has asserted that the ban on homeschooling in that country is designed to ensure that religious homeschoolers do not become a “parallel society.”
Germany's historical track record on who owns the children (yes that's what this is really about--remember MSNBC's Melissa Harris Perry and Obama both say that they own our children) and thus who should control their minds (indoctrinate, not educate). HITLER should come to mind, folks.
Shame on Obama's regime!

"The 'Son of God' " Movie: garbage--unless you want a "Jesus" just like you

The "Christian" Post actually has a good critique by Sunny Shell on the "'Son of God'" movie. NONE of this is a surprise, knowing before hand the darkness from which it came.

Inaccurate (13 disciples, wrong places where things happen); Peter knows Judas is the betrayer and tries to stop him

Irreverence: Peter having little for Jesus; "Jesus" is surprised by various events like the death of Lazarus; Jesus giggles and pokes a little girl while quoting Scripture and rebuking the Pharisees

Feminist: Mary is the lone woman disciple (she roars (yes thank you Roma, ya must've listened to Katy Perry's song or the ancient  Helen Reddy's song) as she defends Jesus at the cross). Roma Downey inserts Mary into various events that God never places her in. You need to realize that ancient gnosticism (New Ageism today) is HIGHLY feministic: Dame Wisdom will save humanity because man is too stupid to do it himself.

Unholy: The Jesus in this movie is the Jesus of the world, and frankly the one most "Christians" luv: one they can easily boss around, get emotional over because he gets emotional over them. He repeatedly stroks faces, sheds tears, etc. Jesus doesn't preach the Gospel and commands repentance or else face the penalty of death and Hell.

Denies the deity of Jesus:  Jesus is surprised by the death of Lazarus; he gets a vision of Judas betraying him (regardless of the fact that the real Jesus never ceased to be God--rather He was (and is) omnicient; besides the fact that David prophecied about the betrayal by Judas).

In short, the "Jesus" in this unholy, anti-Christ movie is an idol that is made in the image of man. It promotes feminism, denies the inerrancy, infallability, and exacting of Scripture and its Author.

There is NO WAY that this movie can lead anyone to Jesus because this movie is about a fake one with no gospel at all.

It mocks God.

Heb 10:29  How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30  For we know Him who said, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY." And again, "THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE."
Heb 10:31  It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

But if you want a "Jesus" that is fake and pats you on the back, doesn't tell you of your total sinfulness, doesn't proclaim His absolute holiness, doesn't command you to repent of your sins and turn to Him for forgiveness of your sins and eternal life, if you want a "Jesus" that cuddles you in your hatred of Him, ignores the justice of God, and looks just like you, then you'll just LOVE this movie. And you will continue in your hatred of Christ and the deadliness of your sins before the true God whose justice is inflexible and who is might to save.

The "Pope" Didn't Say That: the hoax that people think justifies their sin

There is enough damning doctrines in the Roman Catholic Church to not attribute to them what they or their "pope" supposedly said. It's unfair and wrong.

If one wants to use the RCC to show their liberal bent, I suggest they go straight to the horse's mouth instead of sharing fraudulent claims that somehow justifies the person's war against what they think is stringent Christianity.

Here are two sites that show the supposed quotes by the pope that he supposedly made about how all religions are true, homosexuality is fine, etc. are a hoax:

NC Register shows why it's a hoax.

Snopes also shows it's a hoax.

I want it to be VERY CLEAR that Roman Catholicism is NOT biblical Christianity. I've said this numerous times and I prove it by comparing what the Vatican and the popes in their own documents, state, with Scripture.

If a person wants a tolerant Christianity, they must reject the Jesus Christ of Scripture, the triune God of Scripture, and the Scripture itself, to their own damnation.

53.6% Of All Abortions In Georgia Are Black Babies; 77.9% of all abortions there are non-white

Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood's dream come true:

Although whites outnumber blacks 2-to-1 in Georgia, black babies are aborted at a rate nearly 2.5 times greater than white babies and comprise 53.6% of the total number of abortions in the Peach State.

An additional 24.3% of the total abortions are of Hispanic and other races (Asian, Native American), meaning 77.9% of the the total abortions in Georgia are of non-white babies -- 22.1% of those killed by abortion are white children.

The Audacity of Another Statist: Putin

President Obama warned Russia on Monday of possible U.S. sanctions over its military land grab in Ukraine, but Moscow brushed aside international threats, tightening its stranglehold on Crimea and calling audaciously for a national unity government in Kiev.

~Washington Times
What goes around comes around. Will Obama wake up and realize we aren't on Planet Obama? That he's not a dictator (yet)? That people outside of his world don't feel the need to accommodate him?
Who will blink first, Obama or Putin?

Absolutely Disgraceful: Conduct Unbecoming of A Soldier

"Russian troops are invading Ukraine and we have no response. I suppose the Pentagon has more important things to worry about – like hair and makeup for our gay military.
According to World Net Daily, “Almost seven decades after being the scene of one of the most ferocious and protracted battles of World War II – a site of legendary valor and sacrifice on the part of American soldiers – some U.S. service personnel stationed in Okinawa today are treating the world to another kind of display: Gay and lesbian service personnel performing in drag, to raise funds for their activities, to a sellout audience...."
~Allen West

Yup, we're paying them to act like imbeciles, as if nothing important could possibly be happening around the world. Not that Americans are being held hostage for their non-Muslim faith or anything like that.

2Ti 2:4  No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.

That sure isn't true for today's cowardly, effeminate, politically correct military.

Beth Moore:It's not new--just more tiresom Charismatic Mystic Catch Phrases

Analysis on Beth Moore's claims at Do Not Be Surprised. She notes:

What is this "awakening," this "fresh work of Christ," this "revival," this "wind"? Whatever it is, Moore spoke of it again recently at James Robison's Awaken conference. Below is a short clip from Moore's teaching at that event....The astute viewer will notice that the message Moore is sharing allegedly was given to her directly by God, thus it cannot be questioned lest we question the Lord Himself.

End quote.

Here is the video, but Erin B also gives a partial transcript from the video.

Beth Moore Teaching Men

You can see several men in the audience. I told you she teaches men.

1Co 14:33  For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
1Co 14:34  the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says.
1Co 14:35  If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
1Co 14:36  Or was it from you that the word of God came? Or are you the only ones it has reached?
1Co 14:37  If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are a command of the Lord.
1Co 14:38  If anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized.

Because Moore violates this passage (not to mention the dastardly job she does on Scripture elsewhere which I've cited previously, as well as her ongoing "hearing from 'God'"), she is not to be recognized as a valid teacher of the Scriptures. She ignores the very thing she claims she's teaching. In a word, she's a hypocrite.

To Think the Jesus of "Son of God" Is Accurate In Any Way Is to Place the Name of Jesus Christ Onto That Which Is Unholy

2Co 11:3 But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
2Co 11:4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.

A good passage to those who think they find Jesus in a New Age unholy "Jesus" movie. People don't get just how serious this truly is. They are trifling with the HOLY HOLY HOLY God and putting HIS NAME onto that which is of Satan!!!!

Roma Downey's "Jesus" Movie Isn't about the Jesus of Scripture

Things to consider with New Ager Roma Downey's new movie "The 'Son of God' ". I put 'Son of God' in quotes because it's not the true Son of God, who is Jesus Christ the risen Lord, eternally the Second Person in the Trinity, thrice holy, impeccable (could NOT sin), hates sin and wickedness, and did not die for everyone nor did He come to make people feel justified in their sin.

Quote:

Can I ask bluntly:  Why are we letting this woman have even the slightest degree of influence in our churches? Why do we invite her to the most influential places of Christian ministry without bringing up her New Age beliefs, calling for her to reject these beliefs?  ...

Questions I will be asking—

  • Is Jesus presented as pre-existent?
    • Is there any indication that Jesus is the eternal Son of God?
    • Does it appear that Jesus “began” in Bethlehem?
    • Is Jesus the Creator, through whom all things were made?
    • Is Jesus presented as the Jewish Messiah coming to establish the Kingdom of God?
      • Is there any concept that Jesus is the fulfillment of ancient prophecy?
      • Are we shown that Jesus was sent to receive “the throne of His Father David” and that He would “reign over the house of Jacob?”
      • Is there any indication that Jesus would restore creation and fulfill that at which Adam failed?
      • Is Jesus presented as the only option for salvation?
        • He will likely be presented as “the way, the truth, and the life,” but will we be informed that “no man comes to the Father but by Me?”
        • Will the uninformed be inspired that Jesus was a good man and a great spiritual Being, or will they be informed that Jesus is their only spiritual option?
        • Is Jesus’ death presented as an essential act of propitiation, or is it an act of love which motivates our obedience?
          • Will the work of Christ on the cross be presented at that which motivates us to be our spiritual best, or that which fully paid the price of sin and made salvation and the forgiveness of sins possible?
          • Is there any indication that Jesus is the returning judge and King?
            • Without a picture of a returning Judge and King, we simply have a motivational story. If Jesus is coming back to “judge the living and the dead,” then we need to commit our lives to Him alone.
I realize that no movie can cover it all adequately (just as no sermon can).

~ Stand Up For the Truth on "The Son of 'God'" movie

Here is the Jesus of Scripture, who came the first time in humility, born as a baby, died on a cross, and rose again from the dead according to the Scripture; to come again a second time as the Roaring Lion of Judah: does this sound like the New Age-everybody-loves-Jesus Jesus?

Rev 2:16  Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.

Rev 19:11  Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
Rev 19:12  His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.
Rev 19:13  He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.
Rev 19:14  And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.
Rev 19:15  From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
Rev 19:16  On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

Rev 19:21  And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.

Kay Arthur and "Precepts"

Isa 28:7  And these also reel with wine and stagger from strong drink: The priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, They are confused by wine, they stagger from strong drink; They reel while having visions, They totter when rendering judgment.
Isa 28:8  For all the tables are full of filthy vomit, without a single clean place.
Isa 28:9  "To whom would He teach knowledge, And to whom would He interpret the message? Those just weaned from milk? Those just taken from the breast?
Isa 28:10  "For He says, 'Order on order, order on order, Line on line, line on line, A little here, a little there.'"
Isa 28:11  Indeed, He will speak to this people Through stammering lips and a foreign tongue,
Isa 28:12  He who said to them, "Here is rest, give rest to the weary," And, "Here is repose," but they would not listen.
Isa 28:13  So the word of the LORD to them will be, "Order on order, order on order, Line on line, line on line, A little here, a little there," That they may go and stumble backward, be broken, snared and taken captive.
(NASB)

Isa 28:13  But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.  (KJV)

It seems to me that to take the line "precept upon precept" and use it as the basis and tagline of a ministry to teach the Bible is itself showing that Arthur didn't take the context of this passage. The context is first, the mockery of the drunken priests who considered God's Word to be nothing but childish jibberish that they weren't interested in. God in turn spoke to them with the same mockery, keeping them blind to the Scripture--that the Word would indeed be jibberish that they would stumble backwards and be broken, snared and taken captive.

This is not the portion of Scripture to teach the fundamentals of teaching and learning Scripture!  Unless of course you are trying to teach how not to consider the Word of God.

The other issue I have had with Arthur is that she teaches men. This is clearly seen on a number of occassions like the Passion Conferences for example, as well as her t.v. and radio teaching; none of which, including her "How To Study the Bible" and her study Bible, make a qualifying statement of "For women only". None.

Moreover I'm finding that as I looked further, Arthur's story mimics that of Beth Moore; their mystic and urban legends of being a "women's Bible study teacher" is not accurate at all.

“2004 Precepts for Life wins National Religious Broadcasters “Best Television Teaching Program”.  Again, not specified “For Women” or “Women’s Teaching program”. Same in 2009.

Then [by 1970] the first Tuesday morning women’s Bible study class began, word spread, and then night classes began when husbands wanted to attend as they saw their wives’ enthusiasm. Soon Kay was traveling to Atlanta, Georgia, to teach a study of eventually 1800 adults every week. Knowing she and Jack would not be able to travel to Atlanta every week at some point, Kay wanted to teach others to learn to study inductively as she studied and share in the joy of learning to study the Word of God for themselves, and so began writing Precept Upon Precept® courses. The Arthurs and Reach Out began to publish their style of Bible studies so believers could go deeper with God anywhere they were, irrespective of a single teacher’s personality or proximity.

Today, Precept Ministries International trains millions of people to discover Truth for themselves. Through Training Workshops and thousands of Bible studies in local churches and small group studies; through Precepts for Life™television, radio and online media; through Bible study tours to biblical sites and Bible-centered conferences; and an international effort with studies in nearly 185 countries and 70 languages, PMI is focused on establishing people in God’s Word.

End quote. Emphasis, mine

That sounds eerily similar to Beth Moore's beginnings which I posted some years ago:

Here's the proof from an archived page from her church's website back in 2004:

"Prior to Water's Edge, Beth taught a class for a small group of ladies that began in 1985. The group grew consistently and in 1997 a small number of men began to attend. At that time, God began to do a new thing, stirring the heart of Beth to move to a new meeting place, meeting time, change the name of the class, and allow men to attend. Since then, the class has changed locations several times to accommodate the growing number of singles and couples of all ages that come to hear the inspired teaching of God's Word.

"At the age of 29, a divorced mother of two working as a nurse, Kay called in sick to the hospital where she was working...God’s love poured down upon her in 1965 when she married a missionary with the Pocket Testament League named Jack Arthur. "

However on their “History” page they say she was widowed:

“After years serving with the Pocket Testament League, Jack Arthur met a young widow who had two small boys, Mark and Tom, at Tennessee Temple in Chattanooga. After marrying, they went on the mission field together to Mexico, “

So it seems like two different stories. Was she a young divorced woman with two small children, or was she a young widow with two small children? It can't be both. How can someone's biography be so contradictory?

Kay Arthur’s exciting, practical approach to the Scriptures has influenced thousands to use the Inductive Bible Study Method in their personal studies. Her distinguished Christian character, Bible teaching, championing of the Inductive Bible Study Method, and national radio and television programs motivate others to discover truth for themselves. Kay’s passion is for people to be established in God’s Word.

God’s love poured down upon her in 1965 when she married a missionary with the Pocket Testament League named Jack Arthur. Together they served as missionaries in Mexico for three and a half years until health issues led them back to the States. In Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jack began managing a Christian radio station, and Kay began a teen Bible study. Though the study started as a small gathering in the living room of the couple’s home, it soon grew from teens to college students to adults. From the beginning of the gatherings Kay’s and Jack’s deepest desire was to establish people in God’s Word. The ministry they founded in 1970 became Precept Ministries International where they served together as CO-CEOs until February 2012 when they stepped down and their son David assumed the role of CEO. Both Kay and Jack are still actively working at the Ministry.

As one of the principal Bible teachers at Precept Ministries, Kay speaks extensively domestically and internationally teaching the Word of God and the Inductive Bible Study Method. She has taught in many countries including Israel, India, Romania, Russia, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Taiwan, England, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Scotland, Ukraine, Germany, Guatemala, Poland, and South Africa.
Kay is the teacher and host of Precepts for Life™, a daily television, radio, and online program which takes the student through the Bible book-by-book, verse-by-verse using the Inductive Bible Study Method. Precepts for Life has an audience reach of over 75 million households and broadcasts into over 30 countries.

You will note that Jack Arthur was never listed or promoted as the teacher. You won't see him teaching Precepts. From the beginning it was his wife Kay and has continued to be Kay, although along the way obviously they've added other teachers, some of them being men, but certainly not all of them.

Precept's "Who We Are":

Precept Ministries International was raised up by God for the sole purpose of establishing people in God’s Word to produce reverence for Him. It serves as an arm of the church without respect to denomination. God has enabled Precept to reach across denominational lines without compromising the truths of His inerrant Word. We believe every word of the Bible was inspired and given to man as all that is necessary for him to become mature and thoroughly equipped for every good work of life. This ministry does not seek to impose its doctrines on others, but rather to direct people to the Master Himself, who leads and guides by His Spirit into all truth through a systematic study of His Word. The ministry produces a variety of Bible studies and holds conferences and intensive Training Workshops designed to establish attendees in the Word through the Precept™ Inductive Bible Study Method.

Jack Arthur and his wife, Kay, founded Precept Ministries in 1970. Kay and the ministry staff of writers produce a number of different Bible study series including Precept Upon Precept®, In & Out®, the New Inductive Study Series, the "Lord" study series, 40-Minute study series, and Discover 4 Yourself Inductive Bible Studies for Kids.

Yet Scripture states we ARE to teach doctrine (what else IS there in Scripture?):

1Ti 1:3  As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine,

1Ti 4:6  If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed.

Tit 2:1  But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.
Tit 2:2  Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness.
Tit 2:3  Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good,
Tit 2:4  and so train the young women to love their husbands and children,
Tit 2:5  to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

1Ti 6:3  If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness,
1Ti 6:4  he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions,
1Ti 6:5  and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.

"Tidbits About Kay":

In her “How To Study Your Bible” intro she says, “ Over the past 20 years, this nondenominational Bible study ministry has helped hundreds of thousands of men and women in the United States and over 85 countries to learn to study the Bible inductively, “precept upon precept,” through classes and seminar.”

End quote.

To be non-denominational means that the vital command of baptism given by Christ is ignored; the sole authority of Scripture is ignored; the issue of women teaching men is ignored; the Lord's Table is ignored. Why? Because several denominations including the Lutherans and Presbyterians deny the biblical truth about a believer's baptism and the Lord's Table (not to mention some Reformers in the Presbyterian churches hold to Covenantal theology which is also unbiblical, ignoring the distinction between Israel and the church).

To be faithful to the Word one must teach it as it is, which necessitates demolishing arguments (and traditions) that sets itself up against Christ and His Word. It necessitates an unwavering commitment to what Scripture says. In order to appeal to a wide mass of people, such truth, which is by definition narrow, must be ignored or at least not applied and both the truth and its application ARE part of true, biblical Bible study.

Women are forbidden to teach men according to Scripture. College age is by definition dealing with men. "People" includes by definition, men. "Adults" likewise necessarily includes men.

Both Arthur and Moore started early on in their ministries teaching men and have done ever since and are not faithful teachers to the Scripture as a result. It is that very Scripture that prohibits them from teaching men.

1Ti 2:11  Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness.
1Ti 2:12  I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.
1Ti 2:13  For Adam was formed first, then Eve;
1Ti 2:14  and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
1Ti 2:15  Yet she will be saved through childbearing--if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.

***UPDATE***

Henry M. Morris of ICR also says the same thing about using the Isaiah passage to promote Bible study in this new article from Days of Praise.

Here are two sites that show the supposed quotes by the pope that he supposedly made about how all religions are true, homosexuality is fine, etc. are a hoax:

I want it to be CLEAR that Roman Catholicism is NOT biblical Christianity. I've said this numerous times and I prove it by comparing what the Vatican and the popes in their own documents, state, with Scripture.

If a person wants a tolerant Christianity, they must reject the Jesus Christ of Scripture, the triune God of Scripture, and the Scripture itself.
