Neo-Conservatives cut from the same cloth of liberalism. It doesn't matter if you are talking about politics and the Neo-Cons (RINOs), or about Christianity and the Neo-Calvininsts.
Both are hypocritcal Post-modern pragmatists that do not rely on values and principles in guiding them to make the right decisions despite the difficulty. Instead they walk away from self-claimed values when its inconvenient to their situation.
This is called "situational ethics" and its deplorable, dishonest, and lacks integrity. For Christians, its dishonoring to Christ and unbelief in the very Scriptures they claim when they claim "Sola Scriptura!" Its nothing short of mockery and Phariseesm. Claim Christ with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him.
Values are only values if they are valued, treasured, and treated with integrity.
Faith is only true faith if one actually acts upon it consistently (even if imperfectly).
Neither is found in the latest Conservative circles whether it be politics or religion.
Perhaps this is the beginning of the great Deception that Scripture promises God will send because people refuse to trust in the Person and work of the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.
