James White Revealing A Post-Modern Mindset

James White said some troubling things in his "dialogue" with imam Yasir Qadhi in Part 1 which took place in a church.

Time mark 17:57
 "And yet people will hold me accountable for the Westboro Baptist church people and things like that. And I’m like wait a minute. That’s not my life. That’s not how I approach people. That’s not my perspective. I do not want to be painted with that brush. I demand the right of self definition of what my faith is. We all demand that right. And yet for many Christians we refuse that right to Muslims."

This is nothing but a subject claim to identity and definition. Scripture however, tells us to judge all things by the standard of Scripture. It alone defines what is right and wrong, true and erroneous; what is a true Christian and a false one. In trying to individualize all people of all religions, White has removed the ability to show the enslavement of the sinner in his own religion (making self-made religions within a religion--and by the way, isn't "self identity" exactly what we see society advocating when it comes to race and gender now?) and spiritual harlotry of those claiming to be saved but still within that religion (any others other than biblical Christianity; for example the New Apostolic Reformation, Word of Faith Movement, Spirituality). He also used himself as the standard against the Westboro church. The biblical Christian would use Scripture as the standard to show how heretical that church and what he or she purportedly holds to. Pluralism or syncretism is always rejected by God. To take tenents of two opposing bodies of doctrine like the 5 Solas - TULIP and also hold to Charismaticism, which is entirely diametrically opposed to the 5 Solas and TULIP, as a current example in Evangelicalism, is self-contradictory and so we have more proof of this Post-Modernism, self-individualized religions. It's creating new religions including new kinds of "Christians" which according to Scripture do not exist by reason of doctrine and practice. To customize adherence to a false religion--taking the parts one likes, and trying to discard the rest (like a buffet--pick and choose), isn't possible --it's dishonest and inconsistent, especially when you still take the label of one or both of those sets of beliefs. It didn't work with Israel and it can't work with Christians (2 Cor. 6:14-18). This is doctrinal triage. It's trying to find "good" in what God says is wicked. The standard  to test a religion and it's adherent must be objective and it must be able to to deal with both doctrine and practice; we hold them up to their religion's standard of official teachings and teachers in addition to Scripture.

1Jn 1:4  These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.
1Jn 1:5  This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
1Jn 1:6  If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;
1Jn 1:7  but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

1Jn 5:13  These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

2Jn 1:9  Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.
2Jn 1:10  If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting;
2Jn 1:11  for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.

Joh 7:24  Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment."

Is. 8 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.

Act 17:11  Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

2Tim. 4: . 3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Heb 5:14  But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice  to distinguish  good from evil.

1Jo 2:4  Whoever says "I know him" but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,

1Co 5:11  But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler--not even to eat with such a one.

1Ti 6:3  If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness4  he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions,

1Ti 1:3  As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines
1Ti 1:4  nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith.
1Ti 1:5  But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
1Ti 1:6  For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion,

1Ti 1:7  wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.

Do we read anything about the apostle Paul bringing in a priest of Baal into the church to speak and give out his false teachings that contradict the Truth? Is there Scripture that the apostle Paul went to a false religion teacher and asked that man to have been his mentor and teach Paul that false religion so that Paul could better understand that false religion? Did the apostle Paul tell the churches to visit false religion temples and know better of that false religion so that all the people could live in better harmony? Did Paul save some of those books that the Ephesians burned so Paul could learn sorcery to be a better Christian to know better how to speak and live in peace in Ephesus? Look how the people in cities where Paul preached the gospel were in an uproar against Paul. The true Gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing. Saddened about what is going on.
I take comfort that God is LORD over heaven and earth and is working all things according to the counsel of His will. And one day soon, all will indeed bow the knee before the Lord Jesus Christ.

Are you aware that there are hundreds of videos on youtube by "MuslimByChoice" that uses James White's own words to discredit Christianity? An example how his words are used to discredit the Bible:

I can't help but think that all of that interfaith dialogue is not helping win any person in a false religion to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Savior.

Here is another example. Look what is in writing on the screen at 2:15. Please note what White says starting at 2:25 minutes into the video. It really is shocking!

White blew it some time ago when he refused to clearly state that Jesus was the Son of God as his muslim counterpart hammered home the notion that Jesus never claimed to be the Son of God. White constantly made excuse for and cut slack to his debate opponent and in the end basically denied the Lord Jesus. I have not, nor will I listen to his nonsense ever again. White does not speak for the Lord Jesus.
