“Jesus is ecstasy beyond compare and if new hardships draw us closer to Him, I'm more than content with it.”
~Joni Eareckson Tada
She sounds more like Ann Voskamp and John Piper with such sensual talk about Jesus than she does a sound, biblical Christian. This statement is hardly biblical, nor God-fearing, nor worthy of Christ Jesus the King. It's quite fleshly and emotive.
She also recently joined the podcast "ministry" of occult writer of "Jesus Calling" fame, Sarah Young on her show. This is spiritual whoring and anti-biblical. What is wrong with celebrity Christians? They seem to be lazy and unwilling to take the time to research the ministry, conference, church, or organization that is requesting them, nor are they researching who else will they be sharing the pulpit with. But they sure are willing to take the money and adulation offered to them. This isn't the first problem to show Tada's compromise. Tada was also a signer of the inter-faith Manhattan Declaration as well as part of the ecumenical Lusaane Congress. In other words, her pattern is one of little discernment and compromise. Meanwhile people sit under her teaching (that's another problem) and follow her lead.
