Speaking to reporters Tuesday, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., took on the issue—and stumbled.
"Who is a journalist is a question we need to ask ourselves," he said. "Is any blogger out there saying anything—do they deserve First Amendment protection? These are the issues of our times."
Sadly NR's Brian Fung who wrote the report from which I just shared an excerpt, went on to help with damage control, which should not be done. Graham said what he said and for a long time he's been nothing but a slightly conservative Democrat in a Republican's dress. A US Senator cannot misspeak on something so HUGE as the freedom of speech, especially on the Internet. Nope, I believe this was a revelation of how far from the Constitution the old GOP guard has gone in their hot pursuit of not being left behind in liberal politics. After all, this is the exactly what the Obama administration has already proved to believe: they don't need no stinking Constitution.
