Russia gave the UN a 100 page report back in July which blames the Syrian rebels for a sarin attack.
Even the NYT is reporting about the bruitality of the Syrian rebels---yes that would be the very side which Obama and McCain want to support with the claim that the brutality is on the side of Assad (I believe both sides are brutal).
From all angles, the "rebels" (and how are they legitimate and the Assad regime is not??), are just as brutal; they are after all, backed by al-qaeda, a sworn and proven enemy of the US. There is NO "lesser evil" to choose from. This isn't our fight, it's not our war. Ten years of Afghanistan and Iraq should be proof enough that we can't bring democracy to an Islamic country/worldview.
And now Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), who has aggressively lobbied against a military strike against Syria, is saying that the Obama regime has manipulated intelligence to push its case in getting the US involved in the Syrian civil war:
"Grayson made the accusation in an interview published Wednesday by The Atlantic and offered more detail in a Thursday discussion with U.S. News. He says members of Congress are being given intelligence briefings without any evidence to support administration claims that Syrian leader Bashar Assad ordered the use of chemical weapons.
Grayson said he cannot discuss the classified briefings, but noted details in the administration's public, non-classified report are being contested."
