Christian Relativism

"Christian" Relativism is all over the place, but one place in particular it rears its ugly head the most is within the Charismatic/WOF circles. A friend of mine mentioned this term and I agree with her.

Truth is a subjective, changing reality for people in those movements, depending on the issue or situation. But once you lower the authority of Scripture and elevate extra-biblical revelations/prophecy, you can no longer stand on absolute truth nor make righteous judgments regarding false Christians and Christianity like Roman Catholicism or Mormons for example. It's such an easy way out. Interesting however, how they make judgments about us who reject Charismaticism! Suddenly truth is absolute.

Christian Relativism also says that you can't judge certain people, even when they commit adultery---in fact there is NO church discipline at all! Just rebuke the demon of adultery or lust, forgive the person, and continue on as if nothing happened. There is no love of the Truth, of righteousness, sanctification, purity of the Gospel and the church.

There is no discernment, no wisdom, no Truth, no understanding that happens in those circles. It's mass confusion, chaos, immorality, unconstrained flesh, uncontrolled tongues, pride, arrogance, acceptance of another Spirit, another gospel, and another Jesus, and of course, blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

The same confusion and deadly result that occurred when Adam and Eve fell for the temptation of Satan in the Garden, which was primarily a rejection of the authority and finality of God and His Word, and an elevation of attaining "knowledge".
